Capy Friend

Meet your new capybara companion! Capy Friend automatically gives each player a personal mining buddy, ready to follow you, carry your items, and help protect you during your adventures.
- Automatic companion: your capybara appears nearby when you join. No crafting or summoning item required.
- One per player: each player has their own companion and separate storage.
- Portable storage: [F] your capybara to access its persistent 18-slot bag. Only its owner can open it.
- Follow and stay: choose whether your companion follows you or waits in place.
- Hostile defense: while following, your capybara helps fight hostile NPCs near you.
- Health and recovery: 114 HP, gradual regeneration after ten seconds without damage, and protection against environmental hazards.
- Safe return: when defeated, your capybara returns after ten seconds without dropping its stored items. If you are offline, it waits until you return.
- Persistent progress: inventory and behavior settings survive server restarts.
- Mining companion design: equipped with bags, tools, and a glowing lantern.
Commands
/capy— Show help./capy follow— Follow and defend you./capy stay— Stay in place and stop fighting./capy recall— Return to a safe location near you./capy status— Show health, behavior, and recovery status.
Recall does not bypass the recovery timer. Reconnecting brings your companion back near you.
Installation
Single-player: install the JAR in your Hytale Mods folder, enable Capy Friend in your world settings, and enter the world.
Multiplayer: install the JAR in the server’s mods folder and restart the server. Every player receives their own companion.
Requires Hytale 0.6.8. Back up your world and plugin data before updating.
Initial Release
This first version focuses on the companion essentials.
Beta notice: in-game single-player and multiplayer testing is still ongoing. Please report any issues in the comments, including your game version and steps to reproduce them.
