BlockFactory-1.0.0.jar
What's new
1.0.0 – New interface
We redrew almost every window in BlockFactory. The biggest change is the Tab key: it now opens our own player menu instead of Hytale's inventory, and crafting, recipes and your team are all in there.
Player menu
- Tab opens the player menu. The bar at the top switches tabs and shows your epoch and your Gob and Gol points. If you
want Hytale's inventory back, type
/bfvanillainventory. - The inventory tab shows your character, equipment and backpack, with pocket crafting next to them. You can search recipes and craft one, ten or as many as you can afford. Recipes you haven't researched don't show up.
- In creative mode, pocket crafting turns into an item library: click for a full stack, right-click for one item. The trash can there empties your storage, hotbar and backpack. It asks for a second click first.
- The Factory panel shows your current goal and research, how your machines are doing (working, out of fuel, no power, full) and your crafting queue.
- If you wear Modular Armor, the Modules tab shows its modules, energy and shield.
- The Recipes tab can filter for what you can craft right now, shows how much you have, lets you craft by hand and lays out the whole production chain. What's locked depends on your team's research.
- The Map tab lists places and players and opens Hytale's map.
Teams
- Teams have three roles now: Leader, Co Leader and Member. The badge shows a crown, a star or a person.
- The leader can design a team crest from a shield shape, a division, a second color and a symbol. You'll see it on the badge, in the character panel and in invitations.
- You pick the team color with a color picker and confirm it with "Apply colour".
Interface
- All windows share one look: steel frames with copper cable and gears, and the same bars and status colors everywhere.
- Machine windows put the machine at the top and your inventory below it, so you can fill the machine without switching windows.
- Chests, Logistic Chests, towers, Goblin Huts and the Animal Trap open our own container window instead of Hytale's.
- Shift-click and shift-drag now work in machines, chests, the Requester Chest, the Rune Beacon and the Modular Armor.
- The Fabricator marks recipes you can start right away, shows a bar for each ingredient and tells you what's missing.
- The power window shows how much of the demand your grid covers, how many generators, consumers and poles it has, a graph of the last 60 seconds and a tip on what to do next. Clicking a Storage Cell or Solar Panel opens it too.
- The tech tree has one tab per epoch. Click a node to see what it costs and what it unlocks.
- The recipe browser remembers how you got to a recipe, so you can step back, and shows rates per minute.
- Statistics are now a table per minute that you can sort, with production, consumption and the difference.
- The train window shows how full each wagon is and lays out the schedule as a timeline.
- The Research Centers, the Portal of the Ancient, the Splitter, the Storage Tank, the Requester Chest and the bunker terminal got the new look as well. The Great Portal Altar has its own window now.
- The HUD on the right is a single column, with a progress bar for your goal. The minimap lost its box and shows the time and epoch. The ammo warning next to the hotbar is gone.
Gameplay
- Drills hold up to 100 items in their output before they stop, instead of one.
- The Field Manual is gone; everything it did is in the player menu now. Copies in your inventory disappear when you
join.
/recipesstill works.
Visuals
- Parts bigger than one block are scaled down in your hand and in the crafting preview. Before, they stuck out.
- The last piece of a wall is now a pillar with an arm towards its neighbor, not a lone post.
- The Portal of the Ancient no longer has one big box as its hitbox. It now follows the platform, pillars and arch.
- Bunker parts in the creative tab have icons.
Before you update
- Restart your server after updating.
