This mod is a WIP and will be updated, NPC behavior is no joke and will take time to fine tune and make them smarter/complex.
This Mod replaces spawned Summons from "Grimoire: Rekindle Embers" with a new NPC!
I am open to suggestions!
Behavior (WIP):
- Firstly, they only follow Players with the book in their Inventory.
- Generally will Wander around until you Move from them or there is a Mob to fight.
- They can fight Airbourne mobs as well as Grounded mobs (their decision making is still a WIP, but it works)
- If they are low on health, they will rush back to you to Heal (you dont do anything to heal them, they just do), they will also Defend against nearby mobs while healing. They should rush back to the nearest mob after they are full health
- After any Combat, they should rush back to you or just wander around depending on your proximity.
- Summons Drop Bone Piles (1) when they die
This mod changes the "Grimoire: Rekindle Embers" in more ways too:
- No longer Consumed on use
- Stack Size decreased to 1
- Added Durability (350)
- Still requires Bone Piles to Summon (5 max at a time)
known Issues / Planned Features:
- ISSUE: Description of item did not Update to new version, it does not seem like Packs are equiped to overwrite names and descriptions from a lang file.
- ISSUE: Summons have a Bow, but visualy they do not equip it.
- ISSUE: They sometimes get caught in a block for some reason.
- ISSUE: Summons attack a little too fast.
- PLANNED: Summons take Aggro
- PLANNED: Grimoire can Target Mobs and Summons will ignore other Behaviors to go and Seek Them.
- PLANNED: Better combat type decision making
- PLANNED: Fine Tuning Ranges of following & attacking with types.
- etc... etc...
