ben10_'s Pressure Plates
Welcome to Pressure Plates! This is a lightweight, server-friendly pressure plate mod that opens nearby doors smoothly and reliably for your base. It has multiple plate types and works with single doors, double doors, trapdoors, and gates, with smart handling to prevent glitchy behavior. It’s built to stay fast, clean, and scalable even on busy servers.
MAKE SURE TO READ THE HOW TO CRAFT SECTION

What it does:
- Adds 8 pressure plate variants (same behavior, different look):
- Hardwood, Darkwood, Drywood, Lightwood
- Stone, Marble, Shale, Volcanic
- Stepping on a plate opens adjacent doors, stepping off closes them after a short delay
- Doors and Gates won’t open into blocked spaces, to prevent glitches and keep reliable behavior
- Designed to run smoothly on both small worlds and busy multiplayer servers
- Built with server performance in mind, so it stays smooth and reliable as your server grows
- Built with server performance in mind, so it stays smooth and reliable as your server grows
How to craft:
- All plates are crafted using the regular Workbench(Tinker section, new as of 0.9.0) or Builders Workbench
- All wooden-based plates require their respective log type, or plank type(decorative and ornate etc. is fine)
- All stone-based plates require their respective RAW MATERIAL of the rock(like cobblestone), it will NOT take the Brick, Ornate, Decorative, or Smooth variant!
- Crafting take 1 resource for 1 plate
Works with:
- Single doors
- Double doors (both doors always open/close together)
- Gates - either side-by-side, stacked, or both
- Trapdoors
- Multiple different worlds!
Admin Tools:
- Pressure plates placed using creative tools or commands will NOT function until this command is run
- Plates placed normally by players will work automatically
- If any plates ever stop working (for example after admin edits or world edits), run this command near them to repair detection
- /pp scan <chunkRadius> <yRadiusBlocks> (Creative only)
- Scans loaded chunks around you to detect pressure plates and repair functionality. First argument is radius around you(in chunks, which are 32x32), second is how far up and down(in blocks, to avoid scanning the whole chunk)
Suggestions are welcomed!
