Build Contraptions

Arcane Relay adds an original custom logic system to Hytale! Craft ancient magical artifacts and try and figure out how you can relay signals between them to create the creations of your dreams! Activate blocks from a distance, move blocks within your world and create contraptions you've never thought possible.

Mod Additions

Arcane Staff

This are our backbone of the mod, without them you can't do much, with them you can create and link arcane blocks to send signals between them or to any Hytale block that can be activated.

The most basic logic item in our mod! It allows the player to interact with it to send/relay a signal. Use the Arcane Staff to connect it to other components and trigger them from a distance.

Arcane Relay

Similar to the button this is used to send/relay a signal to other arcane blocks. But it's also a full block, so it can be moved!

Toggle Relay

Like a relay but with two states! This one is hard to explain without being technical, so here is the item description: Used to block or relay signal depending on state. When a signal is received it always toggles it's state. If active it will relay the signal, if inactive it will stop the relay. Interact with the block to toggle the starting state.

Arcane Pusher

This is our own take on a Piston. It pushes the block above it in the direction specified by it's orientation, will push more blocks if there are any on the way.

Arcane Rotator

This block can rotate clockwise or counterclockwise depending on it's orientation. Use it to position Pusher or other things! Might break the game a little bit, but its fun while we patch things out :D

Arcane Puller

This block only pulls! But it has an extended range, use it to pull back the first block it encounters within 15 blocks!

Arcane Breaker

Hit blocks or players and break or kill almost everything that might stand in the way of this block! Also yes, we know gold is relatively soft and wouldn't make for a great saw… this one is imbued with magic ok :P

Roadmap

We want to keep working on this mod as we've been finding it really fun. The following is a roadmap of our plans for future updates.

More input relays: For example, a secret bookshelf button, more…
Pink Gem arcane blocks… Did someone say 'inventory'?
Relative destinations option for source arcane blocks.
Unmovable block property: used with pushers to limit their reach.
Move Relay: A block that sends a signal whenever it is placed (every time it's moved).
Performance and stability of move block system.
And more, but no sense in spoiling everything :D

Known Limitations

The legend for the Arcane Staff functionality cannot currently be hidden. We looked into it and seems to be a modding limitation at the moment (no L interaction). Seems like there will be support for this on the next release :D
