Find Wild Chocobos
In the forests of Zone 1, chocobos will rarely spawn. If you have Gysahl Greens, approach and tame them.
Taming
Feeding a chocobo a Gysahl Green will randomly increases its likeability towards you. Once it reaches 100, it will stop running away and let you ride it.
Gysahl Greens are crops. You obtain their seeds from the Farmer's Workbench.
A golden Gysahl meanwhile will make any Chocobo instantly like you. (Golden Gysahls are currently only obtainable via creative)
Variants
The most commonly seen Chocobo is of course yellow, but you can rarely find them in other colors as well. Additionally, every Chocobo grooms their feathers differently and will look fabulous in one of multiple different feather types.
Bardings
A tamed chocobo can be equipped with a barding for further customization. They are available to craft in the Armour Workbench.
