What's new

[3.0.0] - 8/24/2026

Added

  • Festival square New plot that sits as a quiet plaza most of the year and turns into a festival build on festival days. A banner announces the festival by name when it opens. Townsfolk and visitors gather there. The square is protected for everyone, including operators, so nobody can build on it or dig it up, though you can still use and harvest what is there. Operators can turn building on for themselves with a creative command.
  • New Life Festival Early spring holiday. Feed life essence to the Springheart Lettuce in the middle of the square until it is full, then press F to pop it into vegetable seeds and spring festival tickets. You can keep feeding it for a bigger pop, and concentrated life essence counts for much more. It only pops once a year, so gather everyone for it. The priestess, farmer, and elder come to watch, and a kweebec seed seller brings a cart of seeds for the day, paid for in gold coins.
  • Pig Racing Festival Late spring holiday at the festival square. Bet gold coins on one of four pigs, watch them race, and a banner names the winner so you know who to cheer. Collect spring festival tickets if yours wins, or try another race after a loss. The elder, innkeeper, blacksmith, and rancher come to watch, and a race merchant sells ranch goods for spring festival tickets.
  • Market Festival Mid autumn holiday at the festival square. Town members set out goods on one shared stall, Elder Lyren judges it, and you collect a place, autumn festival tickets, and a town scoreboard. Some townsfolk open ticket stalls for the day.
  • Hallow's Eve Late autumn holiday at the festival square. Talk to the merchant to run a timed maze for ten gold coins, collect glowing orbs, and pop the jack o lantern for autumn festival tickets and spooky candy. Only one person runs the maze at a time. Bats fly above the square for the night. The merchant keeps a scoreboard of the best maze runs.
  • Carnival Festival Late summer holiday that runs all day at the festival square. Pop floating balloons with darts, spin the wall carnival wheel for a chance at summer festival tickets, and visit the carnival merchant for fireworks, popcorn, a kweebec plushie, and clown wardrobe looks. The elder, bard, innkeeper, and florist come to watch.
  • Tree Climbing Festival Mid summer holiday at the festival square. Join a climb race at the attendant, race up the big tree to the pink crystal, earn summer festival tickets for a fast time, check the shared leaderboard, and buy rare saplings plus bush, beehive, jungle sapling, and rafflesia wardrobe hats from the merchant.
  • Snowball Throwing Festival Early winter holiday at the festival square. Join a fight at the merchant, grab snowballs from piles, and the winning team gets winter festival tickets when the fight ends. The merchant sells holiday decorations, snowball piles, and a santa hat pattern. The merchant keeps a scoreboard of the most hits in one fight.
  • Wintertide Late winter holiday at the festival square. Talk to the merchant to hear who you should give a gift to, then give it in person. Press F on a town member who is there, or talk to a villager while holding the gift. You earn winter festival tickets from how much they like it. Gifts to villagers count twice as much toward friendship. After you give, a villager brings you a gift too, and the merchant sells holiday goods for winter festival tickets.
  • Spooky Candy A sweet treat from the maze and the merchant shop. Eat it to feel better.
  • Give up a town Use /aetherhaven town relinquish to leave. Members leave. Owners pass the town to another player, or the town keeps going on its own. Anyone can claim a town with no owner at the charter.
  • Bard music Ask Elias to shuffle through his songs, or to loop one song until you tell him to stop.
  • Miner's hut Can produce limestone and limestone cobble.
  • Calendar Hang a calendar on a wall to open a season view with villager birthdays marked on their days. Craft it at the town planning desk with wood.
  • Villager birthdays Each story villager has a birthday on the calendar. Gifts on their birthday give double friendship. They greet you and react to gifts with special birthday lines.
  • Your birthday When you first join, pick a season and day. It shows on the calendar with a gift box. Villagers who are close friends bring you a gift on that day.
  • Set date command Creative command to jump to a specific season day at midnight for testing.
  • Corin's festival square quest Once the park is finished, the innkeeper asks you to build a square where the whole town can gather.
  • Festival chatter Every villager has their own things to say while a festival is on, so it is worth going around the town before the day is over.
  • Festival dancing Villagers at their festival spots and visitors at the square will sometimes dance.
  • Festival day markers The calendar shows an icon on every festival day. Hover it to see which festival it is.
  • Make your own festivals The plot creator makes new holidays, which show a flag on the calendar, and new looks for holidays that already exist. Mark villager stands, festival merchants, visitor stands, the centerpiece, and pig race lanes, then pick the activity, season, day, and hours. Festivals made by other mods can bring their own villager chatter along with them.
  • Building editor festivals The building editor staff has a Festivals tab to change a festival that is already saved, including looks. New holidays and new looks are still made with the plot creator.
  • Festival looks at the crafting bench Town members can pick Use this look or Use original look on a festival look. Local looks live on the Festivals tab. You can set a style on a look so the style filters find it.
  • Share festival looks Festival looks can be submitted and downloaded on the marketplace. Downloading a look does not add a plot token.
  • Festival square in Variant of You can make a plot that counts as the festival square. The box locks to the square size and keeps the town records shelf.

  • Carnival fireworks Buy a firework from the carnival merchant for one summer festival ticket. Use it on the ground to send it up and watch it burst in color.
  • Carnival clown Land on the blue spot on the carnival wheel to unlock Bozo Bleak, a cynical clown who can join your town.
  • Clown Tent Build Bozo a tent workplace. During work hours he visits townsfolk who need fun and cheers them up.
  • Villager wardrobe Craft a wardrobe at the town planning desk to dress up residents of your town. Pick someone, choose unlocked looks by slot, and save what they wear in that town. Head looks can leave hair alone, trim it under a hat, or hide it fully, matching how player hats work.
  • Props Place small decoration builds almost anywhere with a crate style prop item. Move and turn them in a placement menu before you set them down. They will not go into other blocks. Ships with Aqua Lamp, Palm Streetlight, Streetlight, Cabbage Trough, Fish Barrel, Potion Shelf, Plant Arch, Pig Pile, Balloons, and Festival Flag. Festival merchants sell some of these for festival tickets. When you make a prop, you can set its shop gold price.

  • Cap'n Clive Furniture merchant who can visit after Vex's market stall. Build his furniture shop, then talk to him to browse a daily mix of decoration props with a preview. He asks for a house later like other shopkeeps.

  • Share props Make props with the plot creator and share them on the marketplace. At the crafting bench, open Community and use the Props tab to download them. Downloaded props can show up in chests and balloons.
  • Packaging wand Point at a prop and use the wand to pack it back into an item. Props stay safe from breaking for everyone unless you turn breaking on for yourself with a creative command.
  • Town look After you start a town and pick a difficulty, choose a look for building quests. Core and Stormwind are ready right away. Jimmy's Village, Fairy Tale, Coastal Ruins, and Slate Fjord can be downloaded from the marketplace first. Building quests then give plot tokens that match that look when they can, or the core look if not. Use /aetherhaven town style to change it later.

  • Wall styles in the crafting bench On Community, open the Wall Styles tab. A wall style shows as one card with arrows to look through its pieces, and downloading it brings the whole set in at once.
  • Pick a wall style The wall wand has arrows to switch between the wall styles you have installed.
  • Path restyle On the path designer shovel, press Q to Restyle, select a placed path like Remove, then press F and pick a style. The path's blocks swap to that style right away without removing the path.
  • Path mode jump Middle click on the path designer shovel opens a mode menu with the same icons as the status tabs, so you can jump straight to Place, Move, Rotate, Remove, Restyle, Replace filter, or Style designer. Townsfolk walking for new paths is toggled from that menu.

  • Workplace facing Villagers face the direction set on their work spot while they work there.

  • Morning tax chat The message names the town, so you can tell which treasury collected when you belong to more than one.

  • Visitor portal network Towns no longer share one portal id from the tourist portal prefab, so other towns show up in the travel list again.
  • Wall wand Pieces now line up flush instead of leaving a gap or overlapping, whichever way you build.
  • Community downloads Downloading a marketplace building no longer freezes the game on very large prefabs.
  • Community downloads Website download counts go up once per save or server, not each time you remove and download the same building.
  • Tourist portal After you finish the tourist portal building, the portal now lights up in your town color and works without you having to replace the block by hand.

  • Item tooltips Item names and styled text stay readable when the shop gold price is shown.
  • Festival plot creator Finishing or canceling a festival session now clears the pasted square.
  • Plot creator Stand-in villagers used to mark important spots no longer show up when that building is constructed.
  • Plot creator Custom buildings keep the full area you marked with the staff, so things in empty space inside that box are not left out.
  • Gaia statue It stays in place without a block under it.
