May 1, 2026: This update adds several additional townsfolk and dark wizards roaming the Highlands, and increases your chances to overhear dialogue that is more relevant to dark wizards, including conversations you may not have heard before. There are no longer any NPCs being overwritten, so you will see more variety in both dark wizards and townsfolk in general. Most importantly, the schedule of a particular dark wizard has changed fundamentally. I agonized over it for more than a month, trying to get it just right. You will also find some other minor adjustments, such as longer active hours near and in the Hog's Head, and other sneaky changes. See how many differences you can spot!
30+ unique dark wizard characters have been added to the game in this mod for you to use with NPC swaps, including:
- All Ashwinders
- All Poachers (with correct outfits this time)
- All Infamous Foes
- Unmasked versions (including a new, adorable Scout model)
For the sake of convenience, you can find them all under Gryffindor when using NPC Sebrywhere (thanks, Dekita!).
I also moved Victor Rookwood and Theophilus Harlow to Hufflepuff for my own sake, and made adjustments to the heights of the dark witches in the game, many of whom towered over the wizards.
You'll also find more obvious dark witches and wizards about town!
Note: The reason I am making this as a new mod and not simply updating the existing Unique Dark Wizards is I lost access to the original awhile ago due to reinstalling the Creator Kit without backing up the files! So I started over which was fine because I have more experience now and this version is much more solid (although it would have been nice to be able to update the old one.)
Known issues: Some character glitch out/disappear when the camera gets too close. Thought I fixed this but apparently not.
This mod will conflict with other mods that change NPC schedules.
