Ever wanted to design your own talent point system? Now you can! Talent Points added by this mod work both retroactively on existing characters, as well as enable the player to set points they will recieve in the future. By default, Customizable Extra Talent Points adds 10 new Talent Points at the following levels:
Level 10: 1 Extra Point Level 14: 1 Extra Point Level 18: 1 Extra Point Level 22: 1 Extra Point Level 26: 1 Extra Point Level 30: 1 Extra Point Level 34: 1 Extra Point Level 36: 1 Extra Point Level 38: 1 Extra Point Level 40: 1 Extra Point
So for players who just wanted a few more talents points, no further config is necessary. However, for those who would like to fully customize their Talent Point progression simply use a keyboard and press Shift+T to open the Customizable Extra Talent Points Menu. Within the Menu you have the following options:
Customize your Talent Point progression By using the Level Map to set how many extra points you want at any given level. For example you could give yourself a Talent Point at level 1! Always remember to click outside of your Talent Point text box after typing in it. Then click "Apply Talent Points" to lock them in.
Unlock Talents This option allows the player to unlock the Hogwarts Legacy Talent Point system at any level. The Field Guide is required to access the Talent Point menu.
Remove Points This option allows the player to remove Extra Talent Points added by this mod. Always remember to click outside of your Talent Point Removal text box after typing in it.
Some Notes:
This mod will probably not play nicely with other mods that also effect Talent Point count. Mods that add new Talents should be totally fine though.
This mod does NOT affect Vanilla Talent Points, it will ignore them completely so you'll always gain 1 point per level from level 5-40 as originally intended by Avalanche.
Once you edit your Talent Points with the Level Map and hit "Apply" it would be ideal to also save your game using the normal saving feature. This should lock in your Level Map for future play sessions.
Players using this system retroactively on existing characters should open the Customizable Extra Talent Points Menu with Shift+T and hit "Apply Talent Points" once to instantly recieve any retroactive points gained from lower levels.
