Description
Honor Mode is hard... but it's not hardcore!
You see, Honor Mode still felt a little dishonorable to me. After all, it's not very fair to have unlimited respecs, is it? Minor Illusion is not minor at all, and frankly, I don't think health potions are very healthy for the game!
Bring balance to Baldur's Gate with the following features:
1) Players can no longer purchase respecs from Withers. Instead, players can only respec by reading a Scroll of Crossroads. These scrolls are found throughout the game, wherever paths diverge. Warning: The scroll is consumed when read, even if you cancel the respec!
2) Players can no longer purchase Hirelings from Withers, and must instead rely on their companions.
3) Vendors no longer sell potions, elixirs, oils, or spell scrolls. Players must rely on what they find and what they craft.
4) Spell scrolls require a new Read Magic ability. Read Magic is only given in 2 ways: from Wizard level 3, or from the Ritual Caster feat.
5) Minor Illusion can now only be used once per Short Rest.
6) Initiative is now rolled on a D20 instead of a D4.
