This mod completely revamps the vanilla wilderness ecosystem and survival gameplay of Ark, centering the whole game around hunting prehistoric creatures. It greatly upgrades the artificial intelligence of all wild dinosaurs across the map, eliminating the boring experience of static spawns and rigid stationary dinosaurs, and delivers an immersive prehistoric wilderness hunting experience. The mod adds a full exclusive tech tree dedicated to hunters, featuring various tracking supplies, hunting traps, special hunting weapons and professional carcass-processing tools. You can track distant giant beasts with footprint detectors and scent lures, set giant bear traps and serial traps to restrict the movement of large dinosaurs, and take down your targets with refined hunting spears and customized tranquilizer crossbow bolts. Vanilla universal tranquilizer items have been heavily nerfed, so you can no longer knock out massive creatures effortlessly. In addition, the mod reworks the hunting and taming mechanics, getting rid of the mindless taming method of shooting from a safe spot. If you want to capture powerful dinosaurs, you will need multiple hunting tactics such as stealth ambushes, team hunts, and long-distance tracking. After successfully taking down your prey, you have to process the corpse with professional skinning tools to obtain rare furs, intact carapaces, premium raw meat and other valuable hunting loot. Looting by hand will only grant you a tiny amount of basic resources. Wild creatures follow complete survival logic in the open world. Herbivorous dinosaurs migrate in herds with extreme vigilance, fleeing in all directions at the slightest noise. Carnivorous dinosaurs claim exclusive territories, and the smell of blood from dead prey will draw nearby predators to compete over the carcass. Creatures behave drastically differently between day and night. Hunting outdoors at night brings drastically higher risks, forcing players to master hunter skills like stealth and ambush. Whether you hunt alone to survive in the wild or team up with friends to form hunting parties to take down colossal prehistoric beasts, you will get a strong taste of hardcore hunting fun.
