This is a fan-project of me aiming to recreate the feel/artstyle of The Island from ARK: Survival Evolved. While the ASA one is great, I felt like this should be added into ASA for the fact of preservation. We don't know if A:SE will ever be taken off from the store or not, but it's good to preserve this type of stuff before it does. Only the South Zone 1 peninsula has been recreated so far, but more updates will come.
-V0.2.0.0 - 1/20/2025: this has fully finished the peninsula in South-Zone 1. Fixed some texture issues on the river rocks, as well as adding some testing for ASE style ruins.
-V0.6.0.0: added the foundation for Runtime Virtual Texture functions in the landscape material. As well as adding RVT blending to some assets like rocks to blend them into the landscape. (settings will have to change in the future since some areas are intense on it) Additionally, added new grass. It's the ASA small grass with the ASE grass textures displayed on them. This is so they can actually have proper functions that the rest of the foliage in ASA does, and not stay static.
-V0.10.0.0: most of the ASE foliage is on the map now. There's a lot of visual glitches that'll be resolved in a future patch, and some missing water volumes.
Outside of fixing these obvious issues. The map is still on going.

-Making minor visual tweaks: 0% (some areas will have minor visual tweaks. keeping to their original ASE artistical looks. Ex: Hunter cave feeling more like a stereotypical cave, with lots of stalagmites)
-Custom fog/clouds: 0%
-Hall of History/Tek Cave/Ascension: 0%
-Less Ludonarrative dissonance: 0% (Ex: ruins that actually make sense/existed. Some visual tweaks to the map that are more in-line to how they're shown in the notes.)
