# Changes

- **Under the Hood**: Lots of changes to how Primal Items are managed by the mod. Prior to the change the Primal Items were cached and when editing rules a Survivor would see every Primal Item that the container could store. With this change, Survivors will only see Primal Items currently in the containers Inventory (and what that Item can spoil too.) This is in line with how the D1N0-M8 works before the change. Moved almost everything to Soft References to lower memory footprint.
- **Unified Rules Panel**: The old container panel and D1N0-M8 panel have been replaced with a unified Rules Panel. This panel will implement Group Rules to all Containers.
- **Group Filter**: Not all filter selection will show data at this time. Armor/Saddles/Weapons/Skins are still blocked from showing up in the selection list. The next major update will implement the capability to add rules around these items and their Quality Levels.
- **Tool Overlays**: Small rework of the Tools overlays and how they show data.
- **Bob Tall Tales Checks**: Implemented BTT checks to meet WC Guidelines.

> - The first week of January 2026 I'm going to remove the logic to migrates mod data to the new data structures.
> - I will be making regular announcements starting in mid December that this change is coming with more precise timelines.
> - If a Survivor has not updated the mod prior to that, then your automations will no longer work and will need to be set back up.
> - If you play regularly this will not be a problem, the timing is to allow Lost Colony to release which will see Survivors returning to the game.
