Version 24 — hotfix for the V23 client-side regression

- Fixed: after updating to V23, the chat window (default F8) would not open and the
  companion buff was never applied. A broken client initialization path in V23
  prevented all client-side features from starting, while server-side features kept
  running — making the mod appear "half alive."
- Improved: the companion buff now applies automatically to every online survivor
  within ~20 seconds of joining — no longer only after a respawn.
- With client startup restored, the V23 improvements now actually reach players:
  chat input capture (keys stay in the chat box while typing, ESC closes the window,
  focus returns after sending), fixed tame event reporting, fixed duplicate admin
  item-gives, low-vitals awareness, and names containing quotes no longer breaking
  events.
