🦤 Pest Control

Tired of Pegomastax and Ichthyornis stealing your belongings?

Enable DisablePestyStealing to prevent both creatures from stealing items from players. When disabled or omitted, both creatures retain their normal vanilla behavior.

⚠️ Important: Preventing Pegomastax from stealing also disables its normal steal-based passive taming method.

🌊 Calmer Seas

Leedsichthys are notorious for turning peaceful raft journeys into shipwrecks.

Enable DisableLeedsRaftAttacks to prevent regular and Alpha Leedsichthys from intentionally selecting rafts as targets.

🧪 This feature is currently experimental while additional dedicated-server testing is completed.

💡 Improved Lighting

Keep your base illuminated without constantly supplying fuel or manually managing every light.

Enable FuelFreeLighting to allow Orion Standing Torches and Wall Torches to activate and remain lit with empty inventories.

Enable AutomaticLighting to automatically switch supported torches on at night and off during the day.

• 🧪 Supported torches automatically activate at night
• 🧪 Supported torches automatically deactivate during the day
• ⚙️ Fuel-free and automatic lighting can be configured separately
• 🎮 Disabling both options restores vanilla lighting behavior

With FuelFreeLighting=True and AutomaticLighting=False, torches remain under manual control and can stay activated continuously without consuming fuel.

With AutomaticLighting=True and FuelFreeLighting=False, torches switch automatically but still require normal fuel.

🧪 Automatic lighting is currently experimental while cooked dedicated-server testing is completed.

⚠️ Only newly crafted and placed Orion torches are affected. Existing vanilla torches may need to be replaced.

Add the following options to your server's GameUserSettings.ini:

DisablePestyStealing

• True — Pegomastax and Ichthyornis cannot steal from players.
• False — Normal vanilla stealing behavior remains enabled.
• Default: False

DisableLeedsRaftAttacks

• True — Regular and Alpha Leedsichthys will not intentionally target rafts.
• False — Normal vanilla raft-targeting behavior remains enabled.
• Default: False

FuelFreeLighting

• True — Standing Torches and Wall Torches can operate without fuel.
• False — Torches retain their normal vanilla fuel requirements.
• Default: False

AutomaticLighting

• True — Supported torches automatically switch on at night and off during the day.
• False — Supported torches remain under normal manual control.
• Default: False

A full server restart is required after changing these options.

🦖 Installing on an Existing World

After installing Orion QoL+ for the first time, server administrators should run:

cheat DestroyWildDinos

This allows newly spawned Pegomastax, Ichthyornis, Leedsichthys, and Alpha Leedsichthys to use the Orion QoL+ variants.

Existing tamed creatures may retain their original vanilla classes.

Existing placed Standing Torches and Wall Torches may also retain their vanilla structure classes. Replace them with newly crafted torches to use the Orion lighting options.

🔧 Compatibility

Orion QoL+ only modifies the creatures, items, and structures required for its enabled features.

⚠️ Mods that remap Pegomastax, Ichthyornis, Leedsichthys, Alpha Leedsichthys, Standing Torches, or Wall Torches may conflict depending on mod priority.
