No More Player - ASA Transfer Identity Fix

Overview

No More Player - ASA Transfer Identity Fix is a server-side mod for ARK: Survival Ascended.

It targets post-transfer identity desync where players may temporarily appear as player after cross-server or cross-map travel.

Instead of renaming players directly, this mod triggers official sync paths to realign control, identity, and character state.

Problem This Mod Targets

On some clusters, after transfer:

  • Player name may temporarily resolve to player
  • Identity-dependent interactions may fail
  • Bob auto door behavior may stop responding correctly
  • The issue may recover after death/respawn or reconnect

This mod attempts to restore consistency automatically without requiring relog or respawn.

How It Works

When a player joins and receives the fix buff, the mod runs scheduled refresh attempts at:

  • 3 seconds
  • 8 seconds
  • 15 seconds
  • 30 seconds

Each cycle attempts to refresh:

  • PlayerController
  • PlayerState
  • Character

Each cycle also logs full before/after trace data for debugging.

Current Version Features

  • Auto-attach fix buff on join
  • Scheduled refresh pipeline (3/8/15/30)
  • TryOfficialRefresh flow
  • Before/After logs with reason tags
  • Object-level refresh logs for Controller/PlayerState/Character
  • Reason propagation (AutoRefresh_1~4)

Safety Defaults

This version uses a low-risk path by default.

Disabled by default:

  • Repossess
  • ClientRestart
  • Nearby door force refresh

This version does NOT:

  • Edit save files directly
  • Force player renaming
  • Clear inventories
  • Force respawn

  • Cluster transfer environments
  • Temporary identity desync after map transfer
  • Admins who want a reversible and observable fix path

Installation

  1. Subscribe and enable the mod
  2. Add the mod to your server mod list
  3. Restart the server

Use a test server first before deploying to production.
