Long before the first Viking raised a hall in Midgard, Yggdrasil, the World Tree, scattered enchanted seeds across the Nine Realms. From one of these sacred blessings emerged the Jötunhorn, an ancient Shinehorn chosen to protect travelers and guide worthy warriors through the frozen wilderness.

Towering nearly three times the size of its smaller kin, the Jötunhorn is both a faithful mount and a mystical guardian. Its magnificent crystal antlers glow with ancient runes, lighting the darkest forests and mountain passes. Beastmasters believe its calming aura carries the blessing of the Allfather, soothing nearby creatures and making them more willing to accept those who seek to tame them.

Though peaceful by nature, the Jötunhorn possesses the strength of a true guardian. With the power of a Carno, impressive agility, and the ability to traverse difficult terrain, it has become one of the most treasured companions throughout Mystic Midgard.

Deep within the valleys and forests of Mystic Midgard roams the mighty Eikhorn, a colossal Ovis said to have been shaped by Yggdrasil itself. Created to help the first Viking settlers survive the harsh northern wilderness, the Eikhorn became a symbol of endurance, prosperity, and unwavering loyalty.

Unlike ordinary Ovis, the Eikhorn is built to carry warriors and supplies across frozen mountains, deep forests, and rugged landscapes. While gentle in temperament, its immense size and improved strength make it a dependable companion for every expedition.

To ride an Eikhorn is to travel beside one of Midgard's oldest and most trusted guardians, a creature whose spirit has endured since the dawn of the Nine Realms.
