Limit your palette: Try not to use more than 5 different colors within a single base.
Be consistent: Stick to 2–3 core colors. Even if you’re using red, ensure it is the exact same shade of red. This helps the engine batch textures more efficiently!
(However, this won't be an big issue if you are playing in single-player or have a base in a secluded area or possess a high-end PC)
