Turn resource gathering into high-risk, high-reward survival encounters.

Extraction Protocol introduces Resource Nodes, rare collectible items that can be found throughout your adventures. Instead of gathering resources from static deposits, players can deploy a Resource Node almost anywhere in the world to trigger a dynamic extraction event.

Every Resource Node is procedurally generated, making each encounter unique. Before activating one, you'll be able to inspect its tooltip and evaluate the challenge ahead, including the resource type, enemy levels, number of waves, and expected rewards.

Once deployed, the surrounding area becomes unstable, attracting waves of hostile creatures determined to destroy the extraction site. Survive every wave, protect the Resource Vein, and claim its valuable resources.

Every Resource Vein is visually themed around the resource it contains. Rather than simple rocks, each vein becomes a unique environmental set piece—for example, Chitin Veins formed around the remains of giant insects or Coal Veins built around charred trees—making every extraction feel distinct.

Extraction Protocol is designed to feel like a natural extension of ARK: Survival Ascended, combining exploration, preparation, combat, and resource gathering into one repeatable gameplay loop.

Server Configuration

Server administrators can customize how often Resource Nodes are obtained by changing the drop chance in the server configuration and which enemies will not be able to fight in the waves.
