Deimos Variant Shantungosaurus (D-Shantungosaurus)

Our Deimos Dino Tek Pack also has been released

Adds a new unique Shantungosaurus to the game.

An all round nice to have utility Dino, because of its speed, attack and harvesting abilities. You will mostly find the Shantungosaurus around the grasslands or in the jungle.

While it's not a picky eater it still needs vegetables or kibble to tame.

The saddle can be crafted in the Smithy or Replicator.

It also brings some balance to the herbivores in general if you have too many kinda big Carnivore creature mods installed.

Deimos Shantungosaurus Info

Full Name: Deimos Variant Shantungosaurus

Short: D-Shantungosaurus (Shantu)

Summary: Shantungosaurus is so far the largest hadrosaur in the world, There are stories that some Shantungosauruses had the strength to take on the Tyrannosaurus Rex

Ability: Harvesting

Weak point is its back: Use the secondary back tail/feet attack for it

Spawn ratio: Is currently exactly 50% of the Stego, in the regions Grasslands, Jungle, Generic.

Changelog V26

  • Size of the Shantungosaurus increased by (10%) (To make it more realistic, also in comparison with the rex in ark etc)
  • Lot of fixes on the animations.
  • Running Speed of a wild Shantu will be increased by 10%, just that tiny bit that's going to be annoying.
  • About 10-20 sound files will be added and sounds will be tweaked.
  • Attack delay has been tweaked (amount of time between attacks)
  • Spwan points reduced
  • Misc/Attack Sounds volume are now -15% and tweaked

Known issues

  • Animation walking issues which we are working on (Also keep in mind that this is complex, because of their 4 high leg/foot animations like the Paraceratherium which also has anim issues)
  • Singleplayer turning and animations are crappy because they are different then on a dedicated server. Also being worked on

About the Deimos variants:

Our goal is to add new balanced unique dino's (or replace existing ones) with new 3D models to ASA which are very high detailed and UE5 ready.
