Build Tools

Build Tools is a mod designed to enhance the building experience in ARK. While the feature list is small, each feature is crafted to improve the efficiency and ease of building. Whether you’re constructing large bases or intricate designs, Build Tools streamlines the process. Try it and feel the difference!

Key Features

  1. Structure Picker:
    Instantly select any placed structure by looking at it and hitting the hotkey. Your character will automatically begin placing that structure, removing the need to manually search for it in menus.

  2. Structure Wheel:
    No more scrolling through your inventory! The Structure Wheel gathers all available building pieces into a radial wheel, making it quick and easy to select a structure and start building.

  3. Undo:
    Undo recent structure placements, history size is configurable to fit your needs

All features have an ini toggle so servers can choose if they want to use them or not.

How to Use

  1. Activate Structure Picker:
    Look at any placed structure and press the hotkey:

    • PC: Press Alt + Middle Click
    • PS5: Hold Left Thumbstick Button
    • Xbox: Hold Left Thumbstick Button

    Your character will automatically select and place the structure you're looking at.

  2. Using the Structure Wheel:
    Open the radial menu with the following buttons:

    • PC: Hold G (Or R)
    • PS5: Hold Square
    • Xbox: Hold X
      This will display all available structures from your inventory, ordered alphabetically for convenience. Simply select the desired structure and start placing it immediately.

  3. Using the Undo:
    Open the radial menu using the instructions listed above.
    If you have recently placed a structure, an "Undo" entry will be at the top of the radial menu, click it to undo, simple.

UndoHistoryMaxCount can be between 0 and 100.
UndoMaxDistance dictates how close a player has to be to undo a structure placement
