Apothecary and Baked Goods

Some QOL items - tranq arrows and darts, steel and mithril weapons, consumables (heal, change size), bonfire (large campfire)

BrIm is my acronym for Brite Imagination

INI settings FarSee consumables, FarSpec Wearables, and some structures get working distances from GameUserSettings.ini; the entries and default values are listed at the bottom of this page

Planned Changes

  • Burning/Freezing/Shocking offence consumables will require a 'fuel' within the dino inventory (Embers, Frost, Sparx)
  • Poisoning offence consumable to be added, requiring Noxious fuel
  • Defence for poisoning
  • Trinket versions of all offence and defence consumables
  • a simple "Nice Bed" (with no cooldown) - the mesh is not mine, used by permission of "Messy Bed" mesh (https://skfb.ly/6UIwn) by thethieme is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/)

Critical bug fix: Air Pistol/Cylinder/Darts had interconnected engram dependencies causing an app failure when browsing engram level 55+; move engram levels to 63 as air dart is dependent on “tranq dart” at level 62

Known Issues

  • this might be fixed: House Keeping will repair an item, but that is lost when returning item to player
  • Famished still exists, it should increase a wild (or tame) dino food consumption rate but not reduce food

Important

  • Trinkets show ‘durability’, which should not reduce over time
  • there are new INI entries

General Changes

  • House Calls did not have an inventory per se, updated to 18 slots; also added MU “mate boost on/off” and “admin list info” button; baby imprint buff sometimes gets stuck at 0, added some code to prevent
  • House Calls INI entry HouseCalls.BabyImprintQuality=1 (range of 1-100) controls the effectiveness of imprinting baby dinos; a value of 1 increases age and imprint once per minute, a value of 5 increases age and imprint 5 times per minute, etc; mesh is updated to be more machine-like vs stone
  • House Keeping - Repair Items should work now, and may consume slightly more resources than expected - more logging added; added “admin list info” button
  • updated consumable Stoneskin – updated: the first attack from any dino does +33% damage after which all damage from that class of dino is reduced by 33%; resets every minute; in future it may consume a resource (stone, mithril, obsidian, etc) from dino inventory; wip, may change
  • update FarseeSupplyCrates to try detect “more” – hopefully finds artifact crates and cave supply crates
  • fixed name/description/icon of Burning/Freezing/Shocking offence consumables
  • (trying to) fix the appearance of AirPistol – it is meant to be blue(ish)

Structures

  • Refinery (Forge) - cooks metal ingots, steel ingots (metal plus charcoal), mithril ingots
  • Smelter, it should work like the Refinery Forge (which might be removed later), but can also breakdown ("grind") crafted items into raw resources; some resources will be lost, others may damage the smelter; items with a ‘durability’ will be broken down over time, others will be consumed immediately; consumes fuel 3x faster
  • Workstation (Smithy) - BrIm items can be crafted in core smithy as well
  • Bonfire - triple-size of campfire, much more heat and range; consumes fuel much faster
  • Fryer (Cooking pot), larger inventory, faster crafting, with improved versions of core consumables (Calien Soup, Enduro Stew, Focal Chili, Fria Curry, Lazarus Chowder); will use external water source if available
  • House Calls – when filled with BrIm Healing Drinks, injured dinos within range will be healed; note these cause dinos to get very hungry, Extraordinary the most – if there is insufficient food nearby a dino could starve
  • House Cleaning- moves to its inventory dropped items, contents of dead characters, or (death) item caches; requires power source; holds 500 items, default range is 3000 radius (10 foundations); this is not a ‘recovery stone’ per se but if the player or dino is killed within its range the structure should pickup the inventory; might not work as expected if configured distance is above 24,000; note if INI settings exists it is likely the preview sphere will not reflect it properly; note has three "ignore" / "pickup" options - typically use “Ignore dropped items” as that can conflict with (for example) Ark Automated Vacuum
  • House Keeping – repairs structures (below 90% health) within range, or items in its inventory, if there are sufficient resources within its inventory or the area; crafted in Workstation
  • Primitive Battery – can power electronics such as House Cleaning or House Keeping for a short period; crafted in Workstation

Consumables

Can be crafted in Fryer or Industrial Cooker

  • FarSee consumables cannot be used together, and are also available as Wearables (crafted in Workstation)
  • Note: catalyst, macrosaur, minosaur, etc are not preserved by cryopods, and cannot be used concurrently; they run for 120 seconds plus 60 second cooldown; during this 60 seconds others may be consumed
    • small/medium dinos (Carnotosaur or smaller) cannot be ridden but can be picked up; those larger can be ridden and not picked up
    • only Terror Bird/Raptor and larger will consume; i.e. must have DragWeight >= 80
  • Bandages, should protect the dino from gash/gnash/bleed damage; also available as Wrappings Trinket without duration
  • Burning – makes enemy burn; in future it may consume a resource from dino inventory; wip
  • Catalyst Tonic - increases torpor, current health is reduced by 1/3 over duration (60 seconds), food is reduced by 50 units per second (work in progress); melee increases 50%, movement increased (amount is uncertain); stats and cost may change; dino will auto consume at 30% health
  • Chilled, should protect the dino and rider from fire attacks and lava; available as a Trinket
  • Courage, should protect the dino from Yutrannus fear roar; available as a Trinket; WIP
  • Deep Pockets - prevents pests from stealing (unlikely to stop Ichthyornis)
  • Extraordinary Healing drink (100% health over 20 seconds); buff appears like Argentavis rapid heal; stats, cost, etc may change
  • Famished, should make dinos within 10 foundations hungry; consumed by player, who cannot be mounted; will not work on asleep dinos; WIP
  • FarSee (ClearSight) - hides clouds, fog, grass; five minute duration, five minute cooldown
  • FarSee (Death Cache) - find nearby player or dino death cache, within 3000 radius (10 foundations); use in the cases when you/your dino kills a wild dino but does not harvest the remains, and you cannot find the death cache in the grass; note that if within range of a HouseKeeping item, that will pick up the cache - a note should be added to the team log
  • FarSee (Explorer Chests) - show an icon over Explorer Chests, only if it is about six foundations or further away; the icon is larger the further away it is; 5 minute duration, 5 minute cooldown
  • FarSee (Lifesigns) - shows a health icon above injured enemies (below 50% health)); icon is scaled by distance); 60 sec duration, 60 sec cooldown; work in progress - icon might be very small
  • FarSee (Resources) - track a resource item in your inventory, a icon will hover on resource sources, only if it is about six foundations or further away; the icon is larger the further away it is; 5 minute duration, no cooldown; might not track custom resources such as Mithral Ore or Bannok; INI settings for minimum and maximum distance and maximum icons to show; close resources show one icon
  • FarSee (Structure) - track a structure in your inventory (not an engram), a blinking icon hover over all structures; 5 minutes duration, no cooldown
  • FarSee (Supply Crates) - shows an icon atop any supply create within range; work in progress
  • Featherfall consumable - grants fall resistance for 15 seconds, no cooldown interval; craft requirements may change
  • Freezing – freezes enemy; in future it may consume a resource from dino inventory; wip
  • Gender Transition, switches the dino gender if it has one
  • Grounded - prevents rider from being dismounted/shocked by Cnidaria and Electric Eel; consumed by the dino
  • Harvest Cupcake - increases Dino harvesting for 10 min; will consume Journeyman or better hatchets and picks in inventory to boost more; also increases food consumption by the harvest rate increase
  • Healing drinks - heals Dino or player; note craft cost and effects may change; wip
  • improved “Lesser Cure” (duration is 10 minutes)
  • LoLight Sight consumable - grants night vision for five minutes; craft requirements may change
  • Macrosaur Tonic - increases dino size by 50%, doubles melee, reduces movement by 30%; mass is increased; weight is increased
  • Megasaur Tonic - increases dino size by 250%, triples melee, reduces movement by 30%; mass is increased; weight is increased
  • Microsaur Tonic - reduces dino size by 80%, reduces melee by 60%, triples movement; mass is reduced by 70%; weight is reduced
  • Minisaur Tonic - reduces dino size by 30%, reduces melee by 30%, doubles movement; mass is reduced by 70%; weight is reduced
  • Pine Sap Tea (aka Cactus Soup) - reduces water consumption, and hides player from wild dinos within four foundations
  • Runner Cupcake movement +250%
  • Shocking – electrifies enemies; in future it may consume a resource from dino inventory; wip
  • Sprinter Cupcake, movement +50%
  • Sticky Saddle - prevents rider from being dismounted; lasts 10 minutes
  • Stoneskin - reduces incoming damage by 20% unless it is from an Ankylosaurus or Doedicurus, where you take 50% extra damage ; should include Aberrant variants; other dinos will be added to this list such as Golems; in future it may require/consume a resource (stone, mithril, obsidian, etc) from dino inventory
  • Viscous, which should protect the player’s armour from taking damage from the Arthropleura spit attack
  • Warmed, should protect the dino and rider from freezing attacks; available as a Trinket

Bannok

  • player craft inventory has a note explaining some of this
  • raw Bannok poisons like raw meat does
  • raw Bannok becomes Cooked Bannok in a Cooking Fire, Fireplace, Grill, and Bonfire; it is akin to Cooked Meat
  • in BrIm Bonfire, raw plus any berry becomes PrimeCooked; it is akin to Cooked Prime Meat
  • in Preserving Bin, cooked plsu sparkpowder becomes Biscuit in ; this is akin to Jerky
  • in Preserving Bin, PrimeCooked plus sparkpowder becomes Biscotti; this is akin to PrimeJerky
  • in BrIm Fryer, raw plus water plus honey becomes Milk; can be consumed, might tame Cats, might protect from Wyvern fire attack
  • in Dehydrator, Bannok Milk plus squid oil becomes Condensed Milk; can be used to grow a baby up faster and imprint; can feed manually, House Calls will automate
  • Raw, Cooked, PrimeCooked, and milk can spoil; this is akin to Spoiled Meat

Weapons / Ammo

  • Stone Sickle to harvest raw Bannok; does not harvest under water
  • Steel hatchet, Mithril pick, and hatchet
  • hunger arrows and darts (does no torpor) - three tiers; arrows only work with bows, superior arrows - bows and crossbows
  • enhanced tranq arrows and darts (also reduces food) - three tiers; arrows only work with bows
  • healing darts - 25% across 20 seconds; values may change
  • Air Pistol/Dart/Cylinder - fires underwater, short range, massive torpor over 1 min; cylinder is attachment, powers it, degrades over time; when an Air Cylinder is used up it is destroyed (removed form weapon and inventory)

Resources

  • Steel ingots, to make steel pick, hatchet, and pike; about twice damage of core
  • Mithril ore and ingots (harvested with BrIm Pick), to make pick, hatchet, and pike; about four times damage of core
  • Bannok (vegetarian food):
  • raw is harvested with Stone Sickle
  • raw is cooked in campfire, fireplace, bonfire, industrial grill; cooks faster than meat
  • raw plus honey is cooked in cooking pot or industrial cooker, to make prime Bannok
  • when placed in a Preserving Bin, Bannok plus Azulberries crafts ‘Biscuits’ i.e. Jerky, and Prime Bannok plus Azulberries crafts Biscotti i.e. prime jerky
    • Note that crafting of Prime Bannok, Biscotti, and Biscuit may change

Pending / Ideas

  • Redlight Sight (i.e. Desmodus heat vision)
  • Escapade - prevent you from being webbed, etc
  • Various offensive buffs: Pugilist (prevents target from flying, jumping, or running), Slasher (target takes bleed damage), Immolation (target is set on fire), Shocker (target is electrified), Chiller (target is frozen)
