Description
Live Spawn Editor Mod
This mod allows you to add, remove, and edit creature spawns live in-game using an intuitive configuration widget. Best of all, no server restarts are required for changes to take effect.
Accessing the Mod Controls
The configuration widget is accessed directly through the player buff radial menu.
- PC Users: Hold the R key to open the menu.
- Requirements: Administrator privileges are required to access and modify spawn configurations.
Core Features
- Real-Time Editing: Modify your server's spawn tables live without needing to restart the server.
- Spawn Blocking: Fully block specific dinosaurs or creatures from spawning on your map entirely.
- Spawn Conversion & Remapping: Remap any specific dinosaur type to spawn as one or multiple entirely different creature types instead.
- Clean Radial Interface: Streamlined widget interface built into the standard game UI.
- Granular Control: Fine-tune individual container behavior, weights, and counts.
- Native Compatibility: Works seamlessly alongside existing game spawn caps and map limits.
Spawn Settings Explained
Minimum Desired Amount
- The absolute minimum floor number of creatures the system will enforce.
- The spawner will continuously force spawns until this target number is met.
Desired Amount
- The standard target number of creatures the system attempts to maintain in the world.
- Note: Final in-game counts may vary slightly depending on overall map spawn caps and hard limits.
Entry Weight (From 0.0 to 1.0)
Controls how likely a specific spawn entry/category is to be selected by the game engine when a spawn cycle occurs.
- Example Configuration:
- Dodo Weight:
1.0 - Pegomastax Weight:
0.5
- Dodo Weight:
- Result: The Dodo entry is twice as likely to be selected for a spawn event compared to the Pegomastax.
Spawn Percentage Chance (From 0.0 to 1.0)
Controls the probability of an individual creature within a selected category spawning successfully after that category has already been chosen.
- Example Configuration:
- First Dodo Chance:
1.0 - Second Dodo Chance:
0.5
- First Dodo Chance:
- Result: The first Dodo will always spawn successfully, while the second Dodo will have a strict 50% chance to spawn alongside it.
Technical Notes
- All configuration values fully support decimal precision for advanced configuration tuning.
- Built to be accessible for casual admins while offering deep complexity for advanced server networks.
