Use Mutation Potions Strategically on Your Tamed Dinos

Each potion grants +4 mutation points to a specific stat (e.g. health, damage, weight, stamina, food, oxygen).
The potions also work with Tek variants and other versions of the same dino.

Features

Targeted mutations: potions per stat (+4 points per use)
Fair cooldown system (24 h):
- Blocks additional potions of the same type (no item loss)
- Prevents cryopod use and upload/travel during the timer
Misuse protection:
When cooldown is active, the potion is not consumed and a message is displayed.

Crafting Process & Stations

Everything starts in the Mystic Smithy.

Here’s what you can craft:

-Mystical Mortar – base powders & mixtures ⏱️ 1 hour per batch

-Mystical Distiller – essences/liquids ⏱️ 1 hour per batch

-Mystical Elixir Forge – final mutation potion ⏱️ 3 hours per potion

-DNA Extractor – feed it to a dino to obtain that dino’s DNA

⚠️ Warning: The dino will be deleted during extraction.
Be sure to remove saddle & skins beforehand!

Note:
The crafting times are intentionally long to keep mutations as a progressive endgame activity.

Liquid Metal

You obtain Liquid Metal by extracting an artifact.

How to Get Started

Place the Mystic Smithy and craft Mortar, Distiller, Elixir Forge & DNA Extractor from it.
Produce materials in Mortar & Distiller (1 h each).
Extract essence → obtain Liquid Metal
Use the Elixir Forge and brew a mutation potion (3 h).
Feed the potion to a tamed dino → +4 mutation points to the chosen stat, 24 h buff begins.

FAQ

Q: I can’t give the next potion.
A: The 24 h buff of the same potion type is still active.
Wait for it to end; cryopod use & upload are blocked during this time.

Q: My potion is not being consumed.
A: Intended behavior — the potion is not consumed during cooldown (no loss).

Q: Does this work with Tek or variants?
A: Yes! All dinos with the same DinoNameTag are supported.
(Example: Rex potion → Tek Rex)

Q: What happens during DNA extraction?
A: The dino is deleted.
Remove saddle & skins beforehand — they will not be saved.
