Jester Role: Last Laugh

Turn suspicion into your win condition with one focused neutral role: the Jester.

Before creating a lobby, the host can enable USE JESTER? When enabled, exactly one player becomes the Jester. The Jester does not share the normal Crewmate or Impostor victory—their goal is to get ejected. Convince the lobby you are guilty, survive long enough to become suspicious, and make the vote land on you.

Fake Kill

The Jester's FAKE KILL ability creates a convincing, reportable decoy body for 30 seconds. Use it to lure players into the wrong room, start a chaotic meeting, frame an innocent route, or make your own story look suspicious enough to earn the vote.

The role includes original Jester and Fake Kill pixel art, a purple-pink reveal background, and a dedicated CC0 reveal sound.

Every player in the lobby must install the exact same Jester Role Mod version

This first CurseForge file is dependency-light: it contains only the Jester plug-in and its embedded original/CC0 assets. It does not redistribute Among Us, BepInEx, Reactor, MiraAPI, or any base-game file.

Installation

Close Among Us.
Install the required BepInEx IL2CPP x64, Reactor, and MiraAPI versions.
Extract this ZIP into the Among Us game directory. The included DLL lands at BepInEx/plugins/JesterRoleMod.dll.
Start Among Us normally. The required mod stamp should appear.
Select Create Game and switch on USE JESTER?

Do not load this file beside another Jester Role Mod distribution or the private multi-role build. The plug-in declares those builds incompatible and will refuse a conflicting load.

Multiplayer and public games

This is an all-client mod. Unmodified players cannot join a modded lobby. Public play is available only through compatible third-party modded community regions; official matchmaking is not bypassed, and community-region availability is not guaranteed.

Removal

Close the game, then remove BepInEx/plugins/JesterRoleMod.dll. You may also remove BepInEx/config/carol.amongus.jester.curseforge.cfg. Leave shared BepInEx, Reactor, and MiraAPI files in place if another mod uses them.
