This addon currently works with the default WoW UI and uncombined bags. ElvUI hasn’t been tested yet.
I don't planing to use ElvUI so no ETA on the update.
TL;DR: Adds a clean item-quality glow to your gear, bags, bank, and Warband Bank. Designed for the default WoW UI and uncombined bags.
ZynnGlow enhances your World of Warcraft interface by adding a glowing border to items based on their quality. Item borders are displayed for Common-quality items and above, making it easy to identify valuable gear at a glance.
ZynnGlow supports:
- Character equipment
- Bags
- Reagent bag
- Bank
- Warband Bank
- NPC vendor window
The addon includes a simple settings panel that allows you to:
- Enable or disable the glow
- Choose the minimum item quality to display
- Adjust glow transparency
Inspired by the original oGlow addon by haste

Known Issues
- Designed for the default WoW UI and uncombined bags only
- ElvUI support has not been tested yet
- In very rare cases, glow may appear slightly delayed while item data loads
Why This Addon Exists -
Back in the early days of World of Warcraft, oGlow made item quality instantly recognizable with a simple glow. I used it from the Vanilla era all the way until it stopped working around Dragonflight, when I had no idea how to fix it myself.
ZynnGlow exists to bring that familiar feeling back.
Rebuilt for modern World of Warcraft, it restores the classic item-quality glow many longtime players remember and miss, while remaining compatible with today’s bag systems and future expansions.
