Description
2.0 Released!
- Added multiline editor (think Storyteller lite).

/yapper help) - Added adaptive learning to spellchecking.
- Added autocomplete with ghost text.
- Added API for integration.
Yapper is a functional replacement for the standard default chat edit box (that, yes, includes the ability to write long posts and split them). In addition to its RP usage, it comes with a host of accessibility features to make your life easier while you type a post.
Furthermore, this addon does not taint Blizzard's edit box and will allow fallback chatter during chat lockdown events. (M+, boss fights, etc.)
Don't forget to download a companion addon like Yipper! It's an excellent alternative to Snooper!
FEATURES
- Simple-ish UI
- Customisable background colours for both the input area and channel label (complete with opacity!)
- Font size customisation for those who struggle with the default font size (up to 64pts).
- Font outline modes to help make the text you write more visible to you.
- Drafting system allows you to recover your post if you disconnect or get your UI reloaded in the middle of writing, or WoW otherwise force-closes the box for you!
- LOCKDOWN-SAFE! Does not taint Blizzard's editbox and falls back to it during lockdown periods automatically (saving your post as a draft if it happens in the middle of writing), allowing you to continue chatting during lockdown states.
- Define your own split marker (also known as a delineator).
- Advanced settings to tinker with to customise your posting experience (namely in regards to the splitter).
- Set your own colours for the text you write in your own channels separately, uniformly or half-and-half.
- Functionally unlimited chat messages: You can post until the server stops you.
- Robust post queuing system ensures your posts always arrive in the correct order.
- Persistent chat history which survives reloads and relogs. (Alt+Arrow Up/Down)
- Robust Undo/Redo (Ctrl+Z and CTRL+Y).
- Gopher compatibility: Chat addons like CrossRP often use the Gopher library which has some passively running features that are known to interact with other chat addons. Yapper accounts for that and safely overrides those features.
Compatibility and LibGopher
Please note: Yapper attempts to bridge with LibGopher to pass posts through their system rather than its own, to preserve compatibility with addons like CrossRP. There may still be edge cases where it causes issues, please don't hesitate to report bugs on the github, in the comments or as an issue on the curseforge page.
