What's new

X-Perl UnitFrames Revived 1.0.14

  • Fixed a fresh-install login error: party and raid anchor dropdowns now tolerate settings sections that have not been created yet.
  • Fixed the ArcaneBar completion-flash error caused by arithmetic on restricted GetAlpha results. Flash and fade animations now track their own public alpha values instead of reading restricted frame alpha.
  • Fixed the adjacent fade-out path for the same restricted-alpha issue. Cast and channel starts and completion flashes reset animation state.
  • Includes 1.0.13's settings-schema fix: current 1.x releases no longer rerun ancient migrations that reset combo indicators and pet options.
  • Includes 1.0.13's hunter happiness refresh and fallback when the legacy API is missing, returns nil or errors.
  • Includes the version/build reporting command from 1.0.12.

Pet Happiness must be enabled. Disable Only When Sad to show the icon while the pet is happy. Live hunter testing remains necessary to confirm the visibility report on the affected client.

Validation: exercised the actual cast-bar update with alpha reads deliberately made unavailable, including completion flash, fade, long frames, interrupted-cast hold, cast/channel completion and secure duration handling. All 101 Lua files compile, XML files parse, and manifest references and ZIP contents were checked. Settings and happiness regression checks passed in 1.0.13; those changes are retained.

Thanks to Coukie, MayGyver and imaroubat for the reports.

Additional validation: reproduced the original nil-party error and executed both real XML anchor OnLoad handlers with missing, partial and complete settings; saved anchor reading/writing also passed.

Retail/Forever parity: both installed copies contain the same 1.0.14 files. Pet happiness polling is disabled on modern Retail, where the mechanic was removed. Forever uses its advertised happiness power type; legacy Classic uses GetPetHappiness. Tested all three client paths, including absent happiness APIs.
