## [1.2.0] — 2026-10-13 — Cooldown tracker, combat-safe requests, off-by-default opt-in

> **⚠️ Known limitation — please read:** the **Cooldowns** and **ExternalRequest** modules work in normal combat but **NOT during boss encounters**. The client locks down the data they need while an encounter runs, so requests pause and tracker bars freeze mid-fight; everything catches up automatically once the encounter ends. Because this can't behave the way you'd expect from a live raid tool, both modules ship **disabled by default** — enable them only if open-world/trash coverage plus post-encounter catch-up is enough for you.

### New

- **Raid-cooldown tracker** (`Cooldowns` module, Forever client). MRT ExCD2-style live bars in plain headerless columns, ~800-spell database with rank/talent merging, distributed cast sync over the addon channel (no combat-log parsing), role columns, live sorting, click-to-whisper, profiles with import/export and auto-switch, history logging, test mode, and full settings UI via `/wwcd config`.
- **Off-by-default opt-in.** Spell requests and the cooldown tracker are now disabled on fresh installs — opt in with `/wowsender externalrequest on` and `/wowsender cooldowns on`. (SamaSync data sending stays on. Existing saved settings are respected.)

### Improved

- **ExternalRequest rewritten for combat.** Cooldown answers come from the tracker first and every client-API call is guarded, so whispers are answered mid-fight instead of erroring; unverifiable states fail open (reply sent) rather than silently dropping.
- **Two-part character names** (`First Last`) supported across whispers, group checks, glow targeting, and cast reports.
- **EllesmereUI glow support.** Request glow targets EllesmereUI unit frames when present, falling back to Blizzard compact frames.
- **Animated request glow.** Slow violet marching-ants dotted border (deliberately distinct from rogue yellow), thicker edge and dots.
- **Request popup** is now draggable (position saved across sessions) and auto-sizes its width to fit long names.
- **Tracker columns** no longer show the `1 2 3` header text; rows reclaimed the space.
- **Forever-client hardening** across SamaSync (nil-safe profession, reputation, talent, container, and quest APIs).
