WOTLKSoundbox

This is a SoundBox addon, that allows players to share sound ingame to each player from the same guild or raid that has the addon. Sounds are played on the "Dialog" channel, a warning will be displayed if this setting is set too low.
You will see lower that a lot of dispositions were made to avoid spams of sound.

 

After installation, a macro will automatically be created on your list:

 

Running the macro will display this beautiful interface with lots of categories to run a sound (randomly from a list), regarding of the situation. When there's food on the ground, when someone died, when the raid wyped, or you downed the boss, when you want to start the fight or are waiting for the last player to return back from AFK. There are currently more than 600 sounds available on this soundbox.

 

Clicking on the "..." will open the category in order to start a specific sound.

 

The window will automatically close when you run a sound, and a line of text will be displayed in chat.

When a sound is currently playing, the background of the addon will turn red, and no sound can be run by anyone. The text will still be displayed, with a prefix (M) (muted)

 

If you are not on the mood for this addon and you do not want to deactivate it from the game, you can clic on "DEACTIVATE" on top left.

 

Le right side allows you to switch the target audience, from auto (guild or raid) to Whisper or group. Setting a whisper to yourself will enter the "debug" mod, and you will be able to run sounds without the interface closing.

 

The background of the interface will change depending on the target audience, for example, blue for groups

 

At the top of the interface, under the menu, a list of button will be updating depending on the most used specific sound you played.

 

You can also create macros for specific sounds ( /script SB_Play("[name_on_button]") ) or random categories ( /scrip SB_PlayR("[name_on_button]") )

 

 

Another mod allows administration (deactivating sounds when explaining the strat' can be usefull), coming soon.
