Description
An enhanced profession (and hunter pet training) interface for WoW Classic.
A pretty and professional-looking addon that expands and improves the tradeskill UI. Gives you more space, better visibility, smarter organization, and helpful tools for managing your professions efficiently but remains vanilla-like and flawlessly looking! Now also supports Auctionator.
What is this addon?
This addon is designed to upgrade the default profession interface in World of Warcraft Classic, making it clearer, cleaner, and more practical for everyday use. The original Classic tradeskill window is small, cramped, and often forces players to scroll endlessly when browsing their recipes. This addon fixes that by enlarging the interface, improving readability, and adding several quality-of-life features inspired by modern WoW while keeping the Classic feeling intact.
The addon also introduces search tools, improved categories, and filtering options, which help you navigate your profession lists more easily, understand what you can craft, and focus on the items that matter to you. Whether you're leveling your professions, organizing your recipe collection, or simply want a clean UI, this addon streamlines the entire crafting experience. Additionally, this addon expands the Hunter beast/pet training interface similarly.
When designing this addon my main focus was on upgrading the interface while keeping its design undeniably vanilla-like. I design my addons with high standards and I want them to feel like they belong within the original interface.
Features
- Larger tradeskill/profession window
Enjoy a more spacious layout with extended lists and an expanded details panel, so you can see more recipes and more information at once. - Favorite recipes
Mark important or frequently crafted recipes to find them instantly. No more scrolling through long lists! -
Search bar for recipes
Quickly search for recipe names or find out which reagents/ingredients are used to create what items. -
Improved categories
(Optional) New and refined profession categories (especially for Alchemy, Enchanting, and Cooking including some roleplay-oriented ones) make it easier to navigate and reduce clutter. Shift-click a category to collapse/expand all of them -
Filter to show only skill-up recipes
Focus on the recipes that will help you level your profession. -
Filter to show only craftable recipes
Hide anything you don’t currently have the materials for. -
Color-coded recipe list
(Optional) Some recipes are visually marked based on the rarity of their resulting crafted items, making it easier to recognize valuable crafts at a glance. -
Quickly find newly trained skills with highlights!
As soon as you train a new skill or learn a new recipe a golden highlight appears around the skill. Gone are the days of looking back at the chat to remember what you've just trained. - This addon is supported for the Burning Crusade expansion in whole
and for the Mists of Pandaria in part (as many features, e.g. hunter training, became obsolete with time). - Support for Hunters and their beast/pet training window!
Hunters can now enjoy the same features introduced for professions as well as new ones. New filter option for learned/unlearned pet skills and active/passive categories added to separate skills cleanly, easily access pet information in the train window, new colors to mark skills that cannot be trained yet due to unmet requirements and more little details.- Hunters who have learned Beast Training after lvl 24 will unlock a part of the window that shows which beasts can learn what abilities, but only if the hunter has trained pets from that family. My goal was to make a technically informative mini-game that is lore-accurate and fits perfectly into the hutner aesthetic.
I just made my first ever Hunter character, so let me know if there is any feature you'd like to see.
Options
I've tried to implement a wide range of options to customize the crafting experience to your liking. You can enable or disable custom categories for professions and beast training, control sorting for rogue poisons, toggle rarity-based recipe coloring, adjust how pet ranks are displayed, and move or rescale the crafting window. Options are accessible from the in-game options window -> Addon -> WiderProfessions (see Media).
The addon is compatible with all versions of Vanilla wow and is available fully localized in English, Spanish EU/MX, German, French, Russian. Addon supports all other wow languages up to ~90% of text.
Let me know what kind of features you would like to see next!
