The Light Guild Companion

The Light Guild Companion

The Light Guild Companion brings community features and officer tools together in one addon for World of Warcraft: Forever. It was built for The Light and works in any guild. It helps members connect, organize activities and find guild crafters, while giving officers tools to support guild management.

Member Features

• Guild roster and profiles: Browse guildmates with class icons, view shared profiles, preferred roles and availability, and see each member’s race portrait with a class badge when they aren’t nearby.
• Mains and alts: Characters on the same WoW account link automatically, and choosing a main updates all your characters at once. Characters on other accounts are linked with a guild-note code.
• Help requests: Ask the guild for help with quests, dungeons or leveling. The dungeon list, with level ranges, comes straight from the game. Get notified when guildmates reply.
• Professions and recipes: Find guild crafters, browse shared recipes by profession, and see the materials needed.
• Crafting requests: Request crafted items and share links to finished items and materials in chat.
• Guild events and calendar: Browse upcoming activities, respond to event signups and turn on optional reminders.
• Guild charter: Read your guild’s charter in game. The Light’s charter is included, and other guilds can publish their own.
• Quick access: Open the companion with /light or its optional minimap button.

Officer Tools
Officer features follow the rank permissions your Guild Master sets in the game’s guild settings, so they work with any rank names.

• Promotion reviews: Track guild tenure and review members against your promotion rules.
• Promotion rules: Configure promotion paths, optionally waive the wait for linked alts, and publish rules to the guild.
• Rank management: Review and start rank changes with a confirmation click, subject to guild permissions and client restrictions. Results are confirmed within moments.
• Notes and history: Keep officer review notes, shared privately between officers, and review recorded promotion outcomes.
• Guild information: Edit the charter, publish the guild guide and set the guild’s Discord invite.
• Roster tools: Refresh guild information, review member details and export roster data.
• Guild Paragon integration: Use available Guild Paragon information alongside the addon’s own tools. Guild Paragon is optional.

Sharing and Availability
Shared features depend on guild members running compatible versions of the addon, and the addon tells you when a guildmate has a newer version. Profiles, profession reports, recipes, requests and events become available as information is shared. Some information may be unavailable until a member shares it or comes online. Each guild’s data is kept separate.

Work in Progress
The Light Guild Companion is actively being developed for the WoW: Forever beta.

Everything is subject to change, including features, interface design, settings, data sharing and compatibility. Features may be added, reworked or removed as development continues and Blizzard updates the client.

Expect bugs, incomplete features and occasional changes in behavior. Current functionality is not a guarantee of what will be included in the final release. Bug reports and feedback are welcome and help guide development.
