What's new

0.13.7

  • Talent swaps on zone-in: when you enter one of this season's dungeons on Mythic, a small panel lists the talents top players of your spec take (or drop) there, the same list as the site's "Talents here". It only shows what you'd change: swap a talent and its row goes away. On routes with invisibility skips, a mage is told to take Mass Invisibility unless there's a rogue in the group. Left-click opens your talents, right-click dismisses it for that dungeon. It hides in combat and when the key starts. /rbtalents shows it again; turn it off under Tools; /rbm move places it.

0.13.6

  • Boss countdowns now run to when the ability lands, not to when the boss starts casting it, and the call comes 2 seconds (your lead time) before it lands. Erkhart's Interrupting Cloudburst: the countdown reaches 0 as the interrupt hits, and "Stop Casting" comes 2 seconds before it, not 5 seconds early as the cast starts. Melidrussa's Hailburst: the countdown runs on through her 3-second cast to the damage. Chillstorm counts down to the knockback. Cast lengths come from top-key logs; a boss cast bar, where BigWigs has one, sets the time instead.
  • Trash timers often came 3 to 10 seconds late, in every dungeon: the first cast of each ability was timed from when the whole pull started, not from when that mob joined, so with packs gathered or chained in, every call in the pull landed after the hit. They're now timed from the mob joining and match real pulls (in Ruby Life Pools, Inferno now comes at about 7 seconds instead of 12). Abilities a mob uses the moment it's pulled no longer get a countdown.
  • Countdown text no longer pops up and disappears. Each ability keeps one line from its countdown through the cast: the line used to vanish as the boss started casting, come back as a second line for the cast, and for abilities with a cast bar (Melidrussa's Chillstorm, Erkhart's Interrupting Cloudburst) stay up without its seconds. Now the cast bar carries the same line on, counting down.
  • Trash countdowns go away when the mob dies or a cast re-times them, instead of counting down to a cast that never comes. With three lines already up, a line further off waits its turn instead of pushing out one that's sooner.
  • Kick tracker in keys: once a kick can't be placed, the other players' rows hide until the key ends instead of showing "?" with a bar that never moves. The 15-second bars with the kicker's name stand in for them, right under your own row.

0.13.5

  • Kick tracker in keys: the game hides who kicked, so with two or more other interrupters the party rows used to sit on "ready" all key. Now each kick it can't place shows under the tracker as a 15-second bar with the kicker's name in class colour, the interrupted spell and the enemy's marker (most interrupts are 15s; Wind Shear is 12, Spell Lock 24). The party rows show "?" instead of "ready" until the key ends. Your own row still has your real cooldown, and outside keys nothing changes.
  • Kick tracker: a Protection Paladin's Avenger's Shield no longer puts their Rebuke on cooldown.
  • Boss abilities with a cast are now called as the cast starts, when the boss actually casts them, instead of from a timer worked out from logs. The cast itself is your warning. This stays right when a boss holds a cast back behind another one, or a health phase cuts a timer short.
  • Erkhart Stormvein (Ruby Life Pools): "Stop Casting" came about 3 seconds after Interrupting Cloudburst had already interrupted you. It now comes as the cast starts, and the countdown under your character shows the 5 seconds until the interrupt.
  • Melidrussa Chillworn and other bosses with cast bars: the cast bar no longer sets off a second, late callout.
  • Defensive plans: a boss cast bar no longer counts as another use of the ability, so "the 3rd Demonic Rage" is the 3rd one again.
  • "Adds" is called when the adds come (Kystia's Mirror Images, Atroxus' Provoke Creeper), not before.
  • Instant hits (tank hits, kicks, knocks, stacks) still come a couple of seconds before the timer ends, as set by your lead time. An ability shows which way it's called under Customize ("Lead: none: called as the cast starts").
  • Boss countdown text no longer disappears partway down. When the boss holds an ability back while it casts something else, its countdown now stays on screen, holds still in grey, and carries on when the timer resumes, so it reaches 0 when the ability actually goes off.
  • Sporeblight Belcher (The Blinding Vale): Belch Spores is now "Dodge" for everyone, not "Tank Hit". Top groups step out of it, and it nearly kills whoever it lands on.
  • Calls made a couple of seconds before a timer ends (tank hits, kicks, knocks, stacks): when the timer pauses, the call waits and is timed again when it resumes instead of being lost, and a call made before a cast that's held back isn't repeated (by Route Book or your BigWigs profile) when the cast finally goes off.
  • Lightwarden Ruia, last phase: Lightfall and Pulverizing Strikes are called again. The game cancels her timers half a second before they end there, so the cast never registered; they're now called as the timer stops.
  • A new callout voice: warmer and a little slower, with softer word endings and less hiss on "s" sounds. Every clip is also louder (1.5 to 5 dB, depending on the word), level with BigWigs voice packs.

0.13.4

  • No changes in game: the same as 0.13.3 (below), released with tidier release notes.

0.13.3

  • Adderis and Aspix: the boss bars mark Storm Blessed once on each boss, at 40% of its own health (it was 66% and 33% on both).
  • Marking: the mark key now moves on to the next caster whatever modifier you hold. Bound with Shift (say Shift + mouse wheel), it used to start the list over on every press and only ever mark the first caster. Starting over now has its own key: Key Bindings > AddOns > Route Book > Start the marking list over (or right-click the on-screen button).
  • Boss abilities Route Book has no callout for (adds spawning, crowd control, shields…) now keep your own BigWigs profile's sound instead of going silent.
  • Interruptible boss casts that top groups kick are called "Kick".
  • More boss abilities say what to do: "Knock" for knockbacks, "Dodge" for ground impacts, "Adds" when adds spawn, "Stop Casting" and "Line of Sight". Some hits that only the tank used to take (because everyone else steps out) are no longer called "Tank Hit". On Zaen Bladesorrow, Murder in a Row is now "Line of Sight" (hide behind the barrels).
  • Voice clips are louder, closer to BigWigs' own callouts.
  • Boss health bars are tighter (the shield is a strip inside the bar) and only show when they matter: a boss with health marks keeps its bar all fight; any other boss gets one only while it has a shield to break.
  • Kystia Manaheart: Nibbles' bar marks 20%, where she stuns Kystia. Kystia's bar marks 18%: if she's below that when the stun ends, kill her instead of going back to Nibbles (what top groups do at +18 to +22).
  • Callouts say less: when there's a way to move, you hear just that ("Stack", not "Dash, Stack"); the bar still shows both.
  • Things on the ground ("Dodge", puddles) are called as they land, not a couple of seconds before, so you don't move before there's anything to move from. Atroxus' Poison Splash is now "Dodge"; Taz'Rah's Nether Dash is "Stack".
  • Long casts are called a couple of seconds before they land, not before the cast starts (Xathuux's Demonic Rage was about 6 seconds early). Cast times come from top-key logs.
  • Kick tracker: when the game hides who kicked, the kick goes to the group member with an interrupt ready who had that enemy targeted. /rbkick shows what it checked.

0.13.2

  • Alerts from the site's new Review page (routes.vyndicus.io → Review) add to your saved defensive plan instead of replacing it. The same hit is updated; everything else is kept. Paste them with /rbm import as usual.

0.13.1

  • Defensives are called by short names ("Niuzao", "Bubble", "Demo Shout", "Vamp Blood"), with voice clips for every spec's defensives.
  • Plans no longer call active mitigation (Shield Block, Ironfur…): that's part of your rotation. Plans only place cooldowns. Re-copy your plan from the site to get this.

0.13.0

  • Defensive plan: routes.vyndicus.io now has a Defensives page (per dungeon). Pick your spec, or look yourself up by character name to weight the plan by your own logs, then copy the RBD1: string into the Import tab (or /rbm import).
    • In the fight, the addon says which defensive to press shortly before each planned hit ("Shield Wall"), with a short countdown line. If that one isn't ready it says the backup; if nothing is, the line shows "(on cooldown)" and you hear the usual warning.
    • Tanks get boss hits and deadly trash casts; other roles get off-GCD defensives on boss hits.
    • The plan's call replaces the class-cooldown call on the hits it covers. /rbdef shows the plan, /rbdef clear removes it; option "Defensive plan callouts".
    • It only runs while you're in the spec the plan was made for.
  • New voice clips for the tank defensives.

0.12.1

  • Abilities with no log data are now labelled from their names (Axe, Breath, Charge, Orbs, Dash…), so Route Book voices them itself instead of leaving them to your BigWigs profile's sounds.
  • New "Call every labelled ability" (on by default): also voices the AOEs and other labelled abilities the general call leaves quiet because few specs react to them. Untick for only the essential calls.

0.12.0

  • New kick plan (the site too):
    • Each copy of a caster in a pull is its own job. A mob whose recast is slower than a kicker's cooldown gets one dedicated kicker and their marker. With four serpents, each serpent gets a different kicker.
    • Fast casters, and less important ones, are marked for "anyone with a kick up".
    • Jobs are handed out most important first, one mob per kicker per pull. Anything left over is shown as unassigned.
    • The key marks every assigned copy on its own nameplate. Press at a steady pace: WoW blocks more than 3 markers placed very quickly.
  • KICK call only on important casts, the ones the game flags (EllesmereUI's purple cast bars). The voice plays only when every cast that mob can be kicked for is important; otherwise you just see the text. Option "Kick call voice only on important casts".
  • Kick tracker, attribution: if the game can say whether a party member was the kicker, the tracker uses that, so it matches the "Interrupted (Name)" on your nameplates. Otherwise it falls back to elimination and won't guess against the name. /rbkick shows which way it went.
  • Calls made as an ability goes off (no timer bar) now show a line of text too, not just the voice.

0.11.0

  • Enemy casts: a live list of what the mobs around you are casting. Each row shows the spell, a thin cast bar (gold when you can interrupt it) and who it's aimed at in class colour, or "YOU" when it's you. Dungeons only; it can be moved and switched off.
  • Kick tracker, rebuilt for keys:
    • The game no longer reports other players' instant casts, so kicks are worked out by elimination: if there's only one other interrupter, or only one whose kick is ready, it was them. When it can't tell, it doesn't guess.
    • Casts stopped on several mobs at once are taken as an area stun, not a kick.
    • New "Who kicked" feed under the tracker shows the interrupted spell and the kicker's name.
  • Marking two copies of the same caster: targeting by name always picks the nearest mob, so the second press kept landing on the first copy. Out of combat each press now points at a specific nameplate, the nearby ones first, so the two copies get their own markers. With no nameplate to point at, it falls back to the name.

0.10.4

  • Kick tracker: removed the addon messages between Route Book users. Blizzard blocks them during keys and boss fights, where the tracker matters, so it runs on the timing match alone.

0.10.3

  • The kick tracker now sees other players' kicks in keys. The game hides who interrupted, so the kicker is the party member who cast something in the same instant an enemy's cast was interrupted.
  • "Move" callouts for standing in something wait longer the less it can hurt (from top-key logs): at once for what kills, up to 5 seconds for what barely scratches. They only speak if you're still standing in it, and at most once every 6 seconds. Private auras that barely hurt no longer say "Move".

0.10.2

  • "On you" only for abilities that pick some players: ones that hit most of the group, or always the tank, no longer say "on you" (worked out from top-key logs).

0.10.1

  • Trash timers attach to EllesmereUI's nameplates (beside their health bar) instead of the hidden Blizzard ones.

0.10.0

  • New look. The window is one flat, modern panel with a plain sidebar, switches instead of checkboxes, a slider for voice timing, and flat buttons.
  • Customize shows each ability's spell icon, and hovering an ability shows its spell tooltip plus our data (label, voice, timing).
  • In game there are no boxes behind anything any more:
    • Countdown lines are just icon, text and seconds.
    • "Axe on you" is its own line above your character.
    • KICK is just the word.
    • The kick tracker is each player's marker, name and a thin cooldown bar.
    • Trash timers are an icon and seconds beside the nameplate.
    • The spacing ring is thinner.
  • The boss health bar keeps a dark track, with labels above the phase marks and the next mark glowing gold, plus a separate shield bar.
  • Moving pieces (/rbm move) now works like the game's Edit Mode: blue boxes, with a Done button.

0.9.1

  • Trash timers now have their data: 83 dangerous trash casts across the eight dungeons (frontals, big AOEs, things to dodge, tank hits), timed from top-key logs.

0.9.0

  • New window (/rbm): tabs for group and kicks, boss callouts, trash, route and tools, display and import. Also in the game's AddOns settings and the minimap's addon menu.
  • Customize (/rbm custom): per ability, turn it off, change the text, pick another clip or your own words (text-to-speech), set its own lead time. Share your changes as a string.
  • Class cooldown calls only name a cooldown you can press in time, and stay general when yours is on cooldown or already running.
  • On-you alerts: "On you" and "Axe on you" when a boss ability targets you.
  • Boss health bar with marks where the fight changes, and the boss's shield.
  • Trash timers for dangerous trash casts (the timings arrive with the first weekly update), with the next cast on the nameplate.
  • Party kick tracker: whose interrupt is ready, by marker.
  • Pull countdown voice when BigWigs isn't counting down; dialogue and cutscene skip in dungeons.
  • Fixed: Route Book no longer makes LittleWigs load early (BigWigs warned about it).

0.8.0

  • Boss callouts no longer need a BigWigs profile: Route Book carries its own label and voice for each of the season's abilities and uses BigWigs and LittleWigs just for the timers. They work with whatever profile you use (Naowh's too), with nothing to import or confirm. For those abilities our voice replaces the profile's sound, so nothing talks twice.
  • First login asks: General, With my class's cooldowns, or Off (/rbm callouts, or the /rbm window). If you had the Route Book profile, your choice carries over.
  • Private aura sounds (Move, Targeted, DoT, Bleed) are registered by the addon itself (/rbm auras to turn off).
  • The Route Book BigWigs profile is now an optional extra that puts our labels on the bars (/rbm bigwigs).
  • BigWigs is now required, and LittleWigs too on CurseForge (the dungeon timers).

0.7.2

0.7.1

  • Labels now say how top groups move for an ability when they clearly do, measured from player positions in top-key logs against ordinary moments of the same fight: Spread, Stack, Move in, Move out ("Leap: Spread", "Stack: Barrier"). The spacing ring shows for these too.
  • Two-part callouts are spoken as two words ("Spread, Barrier").

0.7.0

  • Kick call: when your focus starts a cast you can interrupt and your interrupt is ready, a voice says "Kick" and KICK flashes above the countdown text.
  • Route reminders: between pulls, "Next pull: Bloodlust" and "Invis before the next pull", from the route on routes.vyndicus.io (re-import the string from the site to get routes). Worked out from enemy forces and the bosses you've killed.
  • Callouts section in the /rbm window: countdown text, spacing ring, kick call, route reminders, how early the voice comes, and a button to drag the countdown text, kick call and ring where you want them (/rbm move, /rbm move reset).

0.6.5

  • Countdown text restyled: bordered spell icon, white label and seconds, a little smaller, just under your character.
  • Spacing ring around your character while a Spread, Stack or Soak callout counts down (orange to spread, blue to come together). /rbm ring turns it off.

0.6.4

  • Countdown text just under your character for the last 5 seconds of each callout's bar: icon, label and seconds ("AOE: Barrier 3.2"), up to three at once. /rbm text turns it off.
  • More specific labels for things thrown, spat or leapt at players: Axe, Bomb, Spit, Leap, Dash, Blade, Shot, Barrel, Charge, Hex, instead of AOE or Targeted. New voice clips for them.

0.6.3

  • Voice callouts now come 2 seconds before a BigWigs timer bar ends, so there's time to react (/rbm lead <0-5> to change it). Abilities without a bar keep BigWigs' timing.
  • No BigWigs voice countdown on those bars any more, so it doesn't talk over the callout. Route Book profiles update once to pick this up.

0.6.2

  • Voice clips remade with a tighter trim and a little compression so they cut through combat sound; AOE and AMS are said letter by letter (the text still says AOE / AMS).
  • Barlow Condensed bundled (SIL Open Font License). A new Route Book BigWigs profile uses it wherever BigWigs' text was still on the default font (western clients only).

0.6.1

  • A new Route Book BigWigs profile made from a layout that never moved BigWigs' text keeps your bars where they are but puts the text somewhere easier to read: short messages near the top growing upward, big emphasized ones just above your character, countdown numbers above those.

0.6.0

  • BigWigs alerts now come in two versions, General and With my class's cooldowns (cooldowns every spec of the class can press, like "Barrier" for mages), instead of one per spec.
  • They go in a BigWigs profile of their own, copied from your current one (raids and layout kept). Built once per class; your other characters just switch to it. /rbm bigwigs off switches back.

0.5.0

  • BigWigs alerts for your spec: bars and voice callouts for the season's dungeons, with the cooldown top players of your spec use named on the bar and spoken (with a countdown). /rbm bigwigs or the checkbox in the /rbm window. Follows spec changes.
  • Voice clips ("RB: ...") registered with LibSharedMedia.
  • Second copy of a caster: keeps the first copy targeted so the next press marks the other copy.
