Mute or replace spell sounds, character and creature vocalizations, and weapon impacts. Works with any class. Important for players with sensory hypersensitivity.

Description

Resonance

Take control of your combat audio. Resonance lets you mute and replace spell sounds, silence combat grunts, quiet creature noises, and remove weapon clang — all without touching your game files. Important for players with sensory hypersensitivity.

Features

1. Class Sound Presets

Built-in presets for every class with hand-picked replacements that swap overly loud or repetitive modern spell sounds with subtler classic alternatives. One click to apply, and they stay up to date as presets improve.

2. Per-Spell Sound Control

Configure any spell individually. Pick a replacement sound from thousands of in-game audio files, or mute a spell entirely. Works with any spell you can cast.

3. Creature Vocalization Muting

Significantly reduce ambient monster sounds — attack grunts, injury cries, death screams, and aggro roars — by creature category (Beast, Demon, Dragonkin, Elemental, Humanoid, Mechanical, Undead). Great for keeping dungeon and raid audio less chaotic.

4. Character Vocalization Muting

Silence your own combat exertion sounds (grunts, shouts, battle cries) or mute all player races at once.

5. Weapon Impact Muting

Remove the melee hit sounds (the constant thwack/clang on every auto-attack) across all weapon types.

6. Full Customization

  • Manual FID muting — mute any specific sound file in the game by FileDataID
  • Sound channel routing — play replacement sounds through Master, SFX, Music, or Ambience
  • Import/Export — share your configurations with other players via preset strings
  • Save presets — save your current setup as a named preset and swap between configurations
