Description
Raven Census
Raven Census is a manual-step census addon
It helps you build a player database over time by scanning the world with /who, saving who you find, and letting you browse that data in-game. It is especially useful if you want to track guilded players, unguilded players, repeat sightings, and general realm activity.
Important: this is not a bot
Blizzard changed how /who works years ago.
Because SendWho now requires a hardware event, Raven Census does not automate scans for you. This addon will not sit there and run by itself.
You must:
- Click Start to send the first WHO query
- Click Next to send each following query
- Wait for the previous result or timeout before advancing
- Keep your WHO spacing set correctly for reliable scanning
In plain English: you are driving the scan. Raven Census organizes the work, tracks the data, and helps manage the queue, but it does not bypass Blizzard’s rules.
Supported version
This build is for:
- World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Classic / Classic Progressive
This build does not support Retail right now.
What Raven Census tracks
Raven Census stores and updates player records over time, including:
- Player name
- Realm
- Level
- Class
- Race
- Zone
- Guild
- First seen
- Last seen
- Times seen
If a player shows up again in later scans, their record is updated instead of duplicated.
What it’s good for

- Browsing and sorting saved census data inside the game

Scan behavior and expectations
A full-world scan is not quick.
This is a large manual process, and in your current setup it can take roughly 238 WHO steps for a broad pass, with more follow-up work possible when crowded results need to be split further.
Because each WHO advance needs your input, a full run can take a long time depending on how consistently you press Next.
If you want fast, hands-free automation, this is not that addon.
If you want a Blizzard-compliant tool that helps you run and track a proper census manually, this is exactly what Raven Census is built to do.
Scan modes
Default Scan
Default mode works through zone and level-bracket sweeps in an organized queue.
Fast Scan
Fast mode starts each zone with a broad level-range WHO query and only narrows further when WHO hits the cap.
Fast mode can reduce the initial number of queries, but it still remains a manual-step workflow.

Final note
Raven Census is built for players who want a real census tool without pretending Blizzard’s restrictions do not exist.
It is manual by design, honest about what it does, and focused on giving you useful data you can actually keep and review over time.
