# Rated Stats – NoChat (PvP Chat Input Lock)
Still want to see chat in PvP, but stop yourself sending something dumb in the heat of the moment?
Rated Stats – NoChat leaves all chat visible, but blocks your chat input while you’re inside PvP — then unblocks it automatically when you leave.

## What it does
- ✅ You can still read all chat (nothing is hidden).
- ✅ Prevents typing/sending chat while you’re in a PvP instance (anti-tilt / anti-ban guardrail).
- ✅ Automatically restores chat input when you’re no longer in PvP.
- ✅ Lightweight: no setup required.

Settings (Retail Settings UI)
Path: Esc → Options → AddOns → Rated Stats - NoChat
- Allow all whispers
Allows character + Battle.net whispers while everything else is blocked. - Allow Battle.net whispers only
Allows only BN whispers; character whispers remain blocked. - Always allow Party chat
Never block Party chat, even when other chat is restricted/blocked in PvP instances.
Per-mode blocking toggles (all ON by default):
- Block chat in Arena Skirmishes
- Block chat in Normal Battlegrounds
- Block chat in Epic Battlegrounds
- Block chat in Solo Shuffle
- Block chat in 2v2
- Block chat in 3v3
- Block chat in Battleground Blitz
- Block chat in Rated Battlegrounds
- Block chat in other PvP Modes
- When you enter/leave a blocked PvP mode, it prints “Chat input disabled/restored”.
- If you keep pressing Enter in PvP, it prints a “blocked” reminder but rate-limited (every 2 seconds).
