This automatically creates "virtual" channels for every class as well as channels for Healers, Casters and DPS. These channels use the new addon communication features of patch 1.12. If you are in a raid, the addon uses the raid channel so only people in the raid with the addon can see the messages. If you're not in a raid, it uses your guild channel. Only people with the addon can see the channels, so it's best used guild-wide.
ClassChannels is a drop and go kind of addon. You don't have to configure it to make it work. You'll automatically have access to the following channels:
/dr or /druids
/hu or /hunters
/ma or /mages
/pa or /paladins
/pr or /priests
/ro or /rogues
/sm or /shamans
/wl or /warlocks
/wr or /warriors
/he or /healers - Druids, Paladins, Priests, Shamans
/ca or /casters - Druids, Hunters, Mages, Paladins, Priests, Shamans, Warlocks
/dps - Hunters, Mages, Rogues, Warlocks, Warriors
Only channels that match your character class are visible by default, but you can enable others by right clicking a chat tab and clicking "Other Messages". You can also configure the color of each channel, which by default is the color the game assigns to each class (orange for druids, green for hunters, etc...).
Using the /classchannels or /cc command, you can configure other options, such as whether the channels are sticky and whether to force the addon to use the guild channel even if you're in a raid.
This is my first addon and it's the very first release of it. Comments, suggestions, bug reports and other feedback are welome. If you can think of any additional class-based channels, let me know and I'll consider adding them.
