Slott Industries presents NoSpam
Provides three separate mechanisms for reducing spam:
1) MustMatch filters: Trade and LookingForGroup messages are only passed if they are on topic as per the provided keyword filters. This suffers from a small false positive rate, but people should learn to use LF1M or LFG anyway. (or WTS, WTT, WTB)
2) Duplicate catcher. Set the time for each channel to prevent duplicate messages for.
3) Player gag: Players who exceed the given number of messages (default is 5) in 5 minutes are gagged until 5 mins goes by without them posting 5 messages.
Additionally, those channels managed by a MustMatch filter can also be logged, either pass messages or fail messages. I use this to store trade messaages that have passed my filter. You can also use this to trap failed messages for reviewing the keyword filters to reduce false positives.
