Profession Knowledge Treasures
Automatically tracks and routes you to every profession knowledge treasure in the Midnight expansion zones, and includes a built-in guide for the monthly Darkmoon Faire profession knowledge quests.
Designed for players who want to max out their crafting professions efficiently without manually hunting down each collectible.
Knowledge Treasures
- Auto-detects your professions — only shows treasures relevant to what you have learned
- Optimized route — uses nearest-neighbor + 2-opt path optimization to minimize travel time within each zone
- Smart zone ordering — starts from wherever you are and continues in the most efficient zone order
- Portal suggestions — tells you which portal to take when moving between zones, with a map pin placed directly on the portal
- Auto-advances on loot — waypoint automatically moves to the next treasure after you collect one
- Auto-jumps on zone change — when you enter a new zone, instantly waypoints you to the nearest uncollected treasure there
- Native WoW waypoints — places the Blizzard waypoint pin and super-tracks it automatically
- TomTom and Waypoint UI support — if TomTom or Waypoint UI is installed, waypoints are added there as well
- Phasing notes — items that are phase-locked or require quest/achievement completion are clearly labeled
- Progress tracking — see remaining treasures broken down by profession at a glance
Darkmoon Faire Knowledge Quests
Each month the Darkmoon Faire offers a +2 profession knowledge quest for every crafting profession. The built-in DMF helper guides you through each one.
- Auto-opens on arrival — the DMF panel opens automatically when you enter Darkmoon Island
- Completion tracking — each quest is marked as Available or Done this Faire so you know exactly what's left
- Vendor locations — shows the NPC name and approximate coordinates on Darkmoon Island
- Items to bring — lists everything you need to gather or buy before heading to the faire, with tips on where to get each item
- Vendor-provided items — clearly shows what the quest NPC will hand you so you don't over-prepare
- Step-by-step instructions — numbered walkthrough for completing each quest from accept to turn-in
- Filtered to your professions — only shows DMF quests for professions your character has learned

How It Works
On login, the addon scans your professions and builds an optimized route through all uncollected treasures. It places a waypoint on the first item and automatically moves to the next after each loot.
When you need to travel to a different zone, it identifies the correct portal and places the waypoint directly on it. Entering a new zone automatically jumps to the nearest treasure there.
The frame stays visible until all treasures are collected and reappears on login if any remain.
The Darkmoon Faire panel opens automatically when you zone into Darkmoon Island, showing every profession quest filtered to your character with full instructions and completion status. It closes automatically when you leave.
Notes
- Some items in Atal'Aman are phased and only visible after completing the local storyline
- Some items require specific quest or achievement progress — notes are shown in the tracker when applicable
- The Darkmoon Faire quests reset monthly and grant +2 knowledge per profession
