What's new
PandaQuest changelog. Newest version first, one short line per change.
Data changes read "<kind> <id> - <name> - added|updated|fixed|removed" (kinds: quest, npc, object, item).
Everything else reads "<area> - <what changed>".
Under a data change, indented lines say what changed: " - coordinates: 3 spawn points added in Badlands".
Older data syncs: see each version's GitHub release notes and https://pd.zroot.it/changelog

0.2.270
- database - WoW Forever ships its quest database: Questie's beta data, built like the other games'
- ui - Forever: the window header and /pq status say "WoW Forever beta data" until 4 Nov 23:00 UTC
- community - a Community.lua for another game is set aside with one chat line, not loaded
0.2.268
- sync - the shared character row also keeps the guild: its name, your rank and its realm
- refreshed at login, when the guild or its roster changes and at logout, only while sharing is on
- the privacy line in the options says so
0.2.267
- quest browser - a quest's page says which step of its chain it is and names the next quest
- hover the Chain line for every step: done in green, in your log in gold
- click it for the next step's page, right-click for the step before
- quest browser - a quest ID typed in the name box finds that quest
- tooltips - item tooltips say where the item comes from: drops, chests, containers, vendors
- Options > Tooltips > Show where items come from switches the lines off
0.2.246
- packaging - the CurseForge package made from the repository carries all four games again
- every game's TOC is kept in the repository, written from one template
- the Classic Era, TBC Anniversary and Forever databases are no longer left out of it
0.2.242
- core - new files of an update made while the game ran did not load: PandaQuest now says to restart
- after 0.2.236 that hid the flight times and the quest mob marks; /reload is not enough
- quest mobs - kill-credit objectives mark their own group, not another creature of the quest twice
- quest mobs - talk-to NPCs, turn-in NPCs (?) and givers with a quest for you (!) are marked too
- each with its own switch; the kill mark is now the kill pin by default
0.2.241
- games - PandaQuest runs in Classic Era, TBC Anniversary and WoW Forever, beside MoP Classic
- one download: each game's TOC loads only its own quest database
- WoW Forever's quest database comes with its launch (4 November 2026); one line says so
- the MoP Classic TOC and database are unchanged
- games - features a game does not have stay off there: archaeology and the dig-site bar are MoP's
- in WoW Forever the recipe scanner and kill counts from the combat log are off for now
- saved data - MoP data copied into another game's folder is set aside whole, never deleted
- compatibility - WoW Forever's quest log, spells, reputation and tooltips are bridged
- Skyborne quests (race bits 32 and 33) are matched correctly
0.2.240
- auction - the auction house scan, mailbox sales and auction tooltip prices are removed
- your saved auction data (PandaQuestAH) is kept: still declared, never read or written
- /pq scan alone now points at /pq scan professions; professions and archaeology are unchanged
0.2.239
- docs - README brought up to date: flight times, quest mobs, site links, install and privacy
0.2.236
- flight - the bar shows the time left and fills from takeoff, also on a route you never flew
- the time is your own median of 2+ flights, else all players' measured time from the portal
- else an estimate from the path's length, marked "(estimated)"; hover the bar: arrival time
- flight - the flight master's tooltip shows the expected time before the first flight
- database - flight times from the portal (Database/Overrides/Flights.lua)
- quests - mobs your unfinished quests need killed get a quest mark on their nameplate
- also the droppers of quest items; tooltip line "Quest: <title> (3/8)"; optional health bar tint
- Options > Navigation > Quest mobs: icon, size, tint, tooltip; Options > Modules switches it off
0.2.235
- ui - one PandaQuest window: Quests, Status, Options, About & Help and Performance
- options - categories with icons, sub-tabs, a search box and a reset button per category
- ui - the window remembers its place, size and scale per profile; Esc closes it
- options - Release notes, About & Help and Performance pages; the logo is the portal's, made round
0.2.234
- ui - /pq opens PandaQuest: the quest browser with every quest; its Settings button opens the rest
- ui - a quest's page and right-click menu: navigate, hide or show, show on map, PandaQuest link
- ui - links go to the quest's page on the PandaQuest portal (pd.zroot.it) instead of Wowhead
- options - new sections: Status, Hidden quests, Moving frames; privacy text under Sync
- options - Advanced prints a database entry and lists every chat command
- commands - every old command still works; /pq help is one line, /pq help all lists them
0.2.233
- core - every part of PandaQuest is an Ace3 module, set up and started in the same order as before
- options - new Modules section: switch a part of the addon off completely, saved in the profile
- options - /pq config [section] [option] [value] changes any setting from chat
- core - timers that counted every frame now fire only when due (map pins, tooltips, scans)
- languages - a text a language does not translate now reads in English, not the language before
- saved data - nothing is moved or renamed; module switches are new keys only
0.2.230
- quest browser - the map on a quest's page stays: its tiles were drawn under the map's own ground
- quest browser - a quest that scales with your level reads "Scales", not -1
- quest browser - rewards name the reputation's faction and show money in coins
- quest browser - the link button is a PandaQuest link: the quest's page on pd.zroot.it, not Wowhead
0.2.226
- flight times - flights are measured again: takeoff and landing are read from the taxi itself
- flight times - a /reload in the air keeps the flight; a disconnect in the air is not filed
- flight times - each flight keeps its route, stops, time in the air, fare and landing time
- sync - finished flights wait in PandaQuestSync.flights for the PandaQuest site (with sharing on)
- sync - flights the site has confirmed (flightsAckedAt) are dropped from the file
0.2.225
- minimap button - left-click opens the quest browser, Shift-click shows or hides the arrow
- minimap button - broker bars (Titan Panel, ChocolateBar) show the flight, target or tracked quests
- minimap button - the tooltip shows the flight in progress and the last sync with the site
- options - lock the minimap button in place; each profile keeps its own button
- options - an add-on compartment entry on clients that have one (Mists Classic has none)
