Description
Overachiever2
Overachiever2 is a modern reimagining of the legendary achievement tool, inspired by the original Overachiever addon.
The original version has been discontinued. To bring its essential functionality back to the modern game, I have completely rewritten the code from the ground up. This isn't just a patch; it’s a fresh start built for the current World of Warcraft.
Development Status: Early Access
Please note that Overachiever2 is currently in active development. While it does not yet contain every single feature of the original, I am working hard to implement them and add even more.
Current Status: More features will be added continuously through regular updates.
Currently Implemented Features
- Enhanced Achievement Tooltips
- No more opening the massive Achievement UI to check your progress.
- Full Criteria Listing: Shows all requirements/criteria directly on the tooltip.
- Series: Displays the entire series of related achievements in one view.
- Parent achievements: Display its parent achievements.
- Tracked Achievement Tooltips: Added tooltip support to achievements currently being tracked.
- Chat Link Tooltips: These enhanced tooltips also work when you hover over achievement links in the chat window.
- Middle-Click to Open: Middle-click achievement links in chat to open the Achievement Frame directly, instead of showing the standard tooltip.
- Browser-style History Navigation
- Track viewed achievements and navigate back/forward through your browsing history. Back/Forward buttons appear next to the achievement points display, and customizable keyboard shortcuts are available for quick navigation.
- Right-click either navigation button to open a history list for jumping directly to any previously viewed achievement.
- New Context Menus
- Right-click any achievement to reveal a new actions menu.
- Instantly link to chat, grab wowhead link, add to your Watch List, or toggle tracking.
- Quickly jump to related meta-achievements or others in the same series.
- The "Search" Tab
- Advanced Search Engine: Query achievements using keywords and filters unavailable in the standard UI—including hidden achievements.
- The "Suggestions" Tab
- Zone-Based Suggestions: Not sure what to work on next? Check the Suggestions tab to see every achievement you can earn in your current zone!
- The "Watch" Tab
- A dedicated tab within the Achievement UI to manage and track achievements you want to focus on (Like a "Favorites" list).

- Simply mouse over sub-achievements within a Meta-Achievement window to see their specific tooltips instantly.
- Monster/NPC Tooltips
- Provides achievement-related info when hovering over NPCs.

Known Conflicts & Compatibility
As Overachiever2 modifies certain UI elements and tooltips, you may experience minor issues when using it alongside other tooltip or UI addons.
- TipTac (specifically TipTacItemRef): Clicking an achievement link in the chat window may cause the popup tooltip to appear slightly distorted or broken.
- idTip: When hovering over achievements in the main Achievement window (Y key), idTip's information may overlap with Overachiever's tooltips.
- Solution1: In the Overachiever2 options, change the anchor type of the Achievement Window tooltip to resolve the overlap.
- Solution2: In the idTip options, disable the 'AchievementID' and 'CriteriaID' setting to resolve the overlap.
- Prat 3.0: When hovering over achievements in chat, Prat's tooltip overlap with Overachiever's tooltip.
- Solution: In the Overachiever2 options, disable the 'Chat Links (Hover)' to resolve the overlap.
What’s Next?
I am committed to expanding this addon. Many more features from the original version—and brand new ones—are planned for future updates. Stay tuned for frequent releases as I continue to build the ultimate achievement companion.
Acknowledgments
This project is a tribute to the original Overachiever. Their work set the standard for achievement tracking for years, and this project aims to carry that torch forward for the modern community.
