What This Does

This is a tiny addon that does one thing: it turns on combat logging the moment you walk into a Mythic+ dungeon, and turns it off when you walk back out. That's the whole feature.

Why does that matter? Because the MPI Companion desktop app reads WoW's combat log file to score your runs and upload them to mpi.atyzi.com. WoW only writes that file when combat logging is on. Most players forget to type /combatlog at the start of every session — which means most runs never get captured. This addon makes that step automatic so you never have to think about it.

⚠ Pick One — Not Both

This addon is the lightweight alternative to MidnightUI. Both addons do the exact same combat-logging job, so installing both at the same time isn't supported.

What If You Install Both Anyway? No worries — this addon detects MidnightUI when WoW loads and quietly stands down. You'll see one chat message reminding you to uninstall one of the two, and then this addon does nothing for the rest of the session. Zero conflict.

What You Get

  • ✓ Walk into a 5-man dungeon → combat logging turns on automatically
  • ✓ Walk back out (city, world, raid) → combat logging turns off automatically
  • ✓ The MPI Companion app picks up the log file, slices the relevant part, uploads it, and scores your run on the website
  • ✓ One chat message the first time it loads. After that, completely silent.

What You Don't Get

  • ✗ No score popups or run summaries inside WoW
  • ✗ No in-game windows, frames, overlays, or visible elements at all
  • ✗ No new buttons, no minimap icon, no chat commands
  • ✗ No saved settings to configure
  • ✗ No background data collection
  • ✗ No internet connections — this addon never talks to anything outside your game

Setup

  1. Install This Addon using CurseForge's "Install" button at the top of this page
  2. Download the MPI Companion App from mpi.atyzi.com — it's the desktop app that actually uploads your runs
  3. Launch World of Warcraft
  4. You'll see one chat message confirming the addon is loaded
  5. Run some keys. Your scores will show up at mpi.atyzi.com within a minute of finishing each key.

That's it. There's nothing to configure.

Privacy

This addon doesn't talk to the internet. It doesn't know what server you're on, what character you're playing, or anything else about you. It only checks one thing — "am I currently in a 5-man dungeon?" — using the same built-in question WoW asks itself for things like adjusting the music. That's the entire scope.

The MPI Companion desktop app does the actual uploading and is governed by its own Privacy Policy.
