Overview: Inspired by the sleek redesign of the spellbook in The War Within, Modern Spellbook ellevates classic wow yet remaining classic in its core. This addon provides a visually refined interface, with new wider or minimized spellbook shapes and new filtering options. All while looking undeniably vanilla.
Let's make wow classic UI a modern, yet undoubtedly vanilla experience.
Features:
- Show/Hide Passives: Easily hide and show passive spells on your pages.
- Talents: Shows passive talent abilities from your trees as passive abilities.
- New abilities: Highlights new abilities as you learn them.
- Support SOD Runes: Runes and engravings from Season of Discovery appear on a category here.
- Wide Mode: A 2-page spellbook that fits more of your spells and abilities in one view.
- Minimize/Maximize: Change between a 2-page or 1-page layout.
- Stances, Shapeshifting and Pets: Use the spellbook as normal, picking up abilities, seeing cooldowns, casting spells, or by managing your pets and your stances/auras/shapeshifting etc.
- Localization: The addon is fully localized in English, German, French, Spanish, Russian (thanks to ZamestoTV) and ~95% for all other wow-supported languages.
Note:
Just a few weeks before publishing the addon I came across a post discussing the new Spellbook UI that was coming along within the War Within prepatches or beta. I immediately fell in love with the design and wanted to port it to my favourite wow version, Vanila. Using assets and deisgn language from the classic versions of the game, I transformed the old spellbook into a prettier alternative that remains visually a vanilla-like experience.
