MeierRaidFramesAnchor

MeierRaidFramesAnchor is a lightweight addon that solves a specific issue with the standard interface: It forces the Raid Frames to grow from Right to Left.

Since the default "Edit Mode" often struggles to maintain the correct anchor point (especially when frames are set to grow to the left), this addon uses its own custom logic that completely bypasses Blizzard's positioning.

Key Features

• Right-to-Left Growth: Raid Group 1 is positioned on the far right. Group 2 appears to the left of it, Group 3 to the left of Group 2, and so on.
• Fixed Anchor Point: The right edge of the frames always remains at the exact same spot, regardless of how many groups are added or how the size changes.
• Custom Positioning Mode: A green "Mover" frame allows for pixel-perfect placement.
  • The red dot on the Mover marks exactly the top-right corner of the first group.
• Ignores WoW Edit Mode: Prevents the "jumping" or resetting of frames that often occurs when trying to configure this using Blizzard's default tools.
• Character-Specific: Positions are saved separately for each character.
• Reliable Sorting: Automatically corrects sorting, even if players are moved to different groups during a raid or if groups are hidden/shown via the Raid Manager.

Exclusive Features for TBC Classic

In the TBC version, the addon offers additional customization options missing from the standard interface:

• Font Size Adjustment: Change the font size for player names and health status text separately (Scale from 6 to 20).
• Health Bar Textures: Choose from various textures for the raid frame health bars.
• SharedMedia Support: If you have the SharedMedia addon installed, MeierRaidFramesAnchor automatically detects all registered textures (e.g., Smooth, Flat, Gloss) and offers them in the dropdown menu with a visual preview.

Known Issues for TBC

• Pets in raid activated: The frame sorting will bug. Deactivate pets for now

Instructions

• Install the addon.
• Log in.
• Open the configuration overlay in one of two ways:
  • Type /mrfa in chat.
  • Or go to Options > Addons > MeierRaidFramesAnchor and click on "Unlock / Lock Positioning".
• A green frame will appear. Drag this to the spot where you want the top-right corner of your raid frames to be.
• Right-click on the green frame (or use the command/button again) to lock the position.
• Your raid frames are now fixed and will grow to the left.

Notes

• This addon overrides the Blizzard positioning for the Raid Container. If you wish to move the raid frames, please use the /mrfa command or the addon menu exclusively.
• Settings for font sizes and textures can be found in the Addon Menu under Game Options.
