Description
LoreTeller
LoreTeller adds a cinematic narrator to your questing experience in World of Warcraft: Midnight. When you pick up a quest, a dramatic narrator voice plays — setting the scene, introducing the characters, and giving context to what you're about to do. Think of it as an audiobook layer on top of your questing.
Every narrator line is a handcrafted, AI-generated summary written specifically for spoken delivery. Quest chains are aware of each other — if you just killed a boss's soldiers, the next line will acknowledge that before sending you after the general.
*Not related to LoreTeller for classic (I searched for that name in curseforge with only retail addons selected)
Features
Automatic Narration
Pick up a quest and the narrator plays automatically. For simple quests with no grind objectives, narration fires immediately on accept. For kill or collection quests, it waits until you make your first bit of progress so it doesn't spoil the pacing.
Right-Click to Replay
If you missed a line or want to hear it again, right-click the ... button next to any quest in your objective tracker. The narrator replays instantly without interrupting your gameplay.
Quest Log Button
Open your quest log and click on any quest to see its detail panel. A Narrator button appears in the top-right corner of the panel. Click it to hear the narrator line for any quest — including ones you picked up before installing the addon.
TalkingHead Display
Narrator lines appear in the TalkingHead frame (the same popup Blizzard uses for important NPC dialogue) so you can read along while the audio plays.
TTS Fallback
If a quest doesn't have a pre-recorded audio file, the addon falls back to Blizzard's built-in text-to-speech engine so you always hear something.
Queue System
Accepting multiple quests at once? No problem. Lines are queued and played back-to-back without overlapping.

- The Dialog volume channel must not be muted (narrator audio plays on Dialog)
FAQ
The narrator button doesn't appear in my quest log. Open and close the quest log once after logging in. The button attaches when the Blizzard quest log addon finishes loading.
I hear nothing when I accept quests. Type /wn test — if you hear audio, the addon is working and your quest may not have a narrator line yet. If you hear nothing, check that your Master volume is not muted.
Can I turn off the TalkingHead popup but keep the audio? Yes. Type /wn head to toggle the popup off. Audio will still play.
Will this work for previous expansions? Not yet, but expansion support is planned. Watch for future updates.
