Loot Codex

Know what every mob drops before you kill it.

Loot Codex is a lightweight, self-contained loot database addon for WoW Classic Anniversary. Target any mob and instantly see their full loot table — complete with drop rates, item quality colors, and quest progress tracking. No external websites, no data collection, no dependencies.

Features

Loot Tables

• Target any mob and type /lc to see their complete loot table
• Items sorted by drop rate with quality-colored names and icons
• Filter by minimum quality (Poor through Legendary) and minimum drop rate
• Shift-click any item to link it in chat

Item Browser

• Open with /lc browse to search every item in the database by name
• Click any item to see every mob that drops it, with zones and drop rates
• Sort by mob count, name, quality, or auction house price
• Filter by quality tier with toggle buttons

Tooltip Integration

• NPC tooltips: Hover over any mob to see their top drops with icons and drop rates
• Item tooltips: Hover over any item to see which mobs drop it and where
• Value display: See the most valuable drops on each mob at a glance (requires Auctionator or Auctioneer)
• Average money: Show the average coin drop per kill
• Profit chance: Probability thresholds showing your chance of looting at least X value — choose which percentiles to display (99%, 75%, 66%, 50%, 33%, 25%, 1%)

Quest Awareness

• Active quest items show current progress (e.g. 3/10)
• Completed or unavailable quest items are automatically hidden
• Seasonal/holiday event items only appear during their active event

Auction House Integration

Supports Auctionator and Auctioneer — whichever is installed gets used (Auctionator takes priority if both are present).

• Sort the item browser by auction house price
• See the most profitable drops directly in NPC tooltips
• Profit chance thresholds use auction house prices when available
• Configure how many valued items to display

Usage

• /lc — Toggle loot table for target
• /lc browse — Open the item browser
• /lc options — Open settings panel
• /lc help — Show all commands

A minimap button is also included:

• Left-click: Item Browser
• Right-click: Target Loot Table
• Middle-click: Settings

Configuration

All settings are accessible via /lc options or the Interface > AddOns settings panel:

• Minimum item quality filter
• Minimum drop rate threshold
• Toggle tooltip enhancements on/off
• Toggle world drop items
• Hide unavailable quest items from tooltips
• Number of valued items shown in NPC tooltips
• Number of source mobs shown in item tooltips
• Toggle average money display
• Toggle profit chance display with configurable thresholds
