Linguist for WoW (World of Warcraft)
- A rule-based custom language application.

What this addon does:
- Modifies incoming / outgoing text based on activatable rule sets.
- Supports plugins, you can create your own custom language and communicate with your friends.
What this addon will NOT do (ever):
- Translate messages across faction boundaries. The Blizzard language scrambler makes this impossible in any effective manner. Attempting to do so is a violation of the Terms of Service, and the author of this addon will not create a plugin nor be held liable for use of a plugin that attempts to do that.
NOTICE: This is a BETA for testing, not all the functionality is complete or tested. It should be mostly error free and work, however.
Ships with these language plugins:
- PirateSpeak (thanks to Blaquen and imyself)
- HorribleEnES - A very rudimentary English-Spanish and reverse translator.
Possible plugin ideas (not implemented):
- International Languages (Spanish, French, German, Chinese, etc...)
- Spam Filter
- Additional language filter to augment the Blizzard filter.
- Klingon
- Tolkien Elvish or other fantasy languages
- L337 Sp34k

- Madlibs (Ex: "I went to the <N> and had a <A> time." turns into "I went to the book and had a purple time.")
- Make up your own "secret" language.
- RP'ing language modifiers (Ex. "Sure, lets go!" comes out as "Ya, mon, it be killin time!")

There are all sorts of creative uses, feel free to make your own plugins. See plugins.txt for more information.
Using many rule sets at once may cause unpredictable results or increased interface lag.
