Welcome to ObsidiumBeadAlert, a simple but highly effective addon created to make the grind for Kurenai reputation just a little easier — and a lot less annoying.
This is my first foray into addon development, born out of pure necessity. While leveling and grinding rep in Cataclysm Classic (2025), I found myself constantly opening my bags to count how many Obsidian Warbeads I had. And then doing the mental math to figure out:

“How many more do I need for a turn-in?”

“How many turn-ins can I do now?”

“Is that enough to level up my reputation?”
So I decided to make something that would take care of that for me, and now I’m sharing it with you.
🔧 What It Does
ObsidiumBeadAlert is an automatic tracker that:

Detects when you loot an Obsidian Warbead

Counts how many beads you have in your bags

Calculates how many turn-ins you can do (10 beads = 1 turn-in)

Shows your current Kurenai reputation progress
-
Tells you how much reputation you'll gain from your current turn-ins
-
Notifies you if that's enough to reach the next rep tier
