# Changelog
## [0.1.7] - 2026-10-21
### Changed
- Arrows and bullets sold by vendors everywhere are locked as ammo from 3 levels before you can use them, not 10, as in ItemTree.
- Ammo for your bow or gun that is not kept says why: "Ammo below your level", or "Ammo for level 40" when it is too far ahead.
- Item lines drop the "Use:" label (items to open or use now keep it), and another trade's reagent or recipe reads "Reagent (not your trade)" or "Recipe (not your trade)".
- The loot card lights the choice it recommends in green, on its key and its button: Leave item when the swap is not worth it, Take and swap when it is.
### Fixed
- Only an auction price makes an item "valuable"; a high vendor price alone no longer locks it (Carrot on a Stick).
- A drop the game did not answer in gamepad mode no longer stops the Take key's drop with gamepad mode off, nor the other way round.
- With gear suggestions turned off in ItemTree, gear says "Gear suggestions off" instead of "Worse than worn".
- Items with no price, like quest items, no longer show "Full stack 0" in the tooltip.
- While the item to drop is in hand, the loot card no longer says "Worth the swap" when the swap is not worth it, so it agrees with the loot window's hover.
## [0.1.6] - 2026-10-21
### Added
- The Take and Leave keys each take a second key beside the first, and either one can be a gamepad button.
- The Take and Leave keys take modifiers too (Shift + D, or Left trigger + X on a gamepad, in gamepad mode as well).
- A Hotkeys heading over the Take and Leave keys says when they work.
- With a gamepad, pressing Take again while the item to drop is in hand asks the game to drop it, then takes the loot.
- While a second press of the Take key will drop the item in hand, the key's hint under the loot card reads "again: drop" and glows.
- Without gamepad mode, a small note under the game's destroy dialog says how to answer it: Yes drops the item, Esc or No keeps it.
### Changed
- Sold everywhere goes by the price of one item, as in ItemTree, so cheap things sold in bundles count (Jagged Arrow, 10s for 200).
### Fixed
- A warlock's demon grimoire is locked until your demon has learnt it (the line says what it teaches), never offered for sale.
- Toys the game gives no toy label, such as Night Watchman's Torch, are locked rather than offered to drop.
- A book that teaches your class a spell is locked until you have learnt it (Tome of Arcane Brilliance, the AQ tomes, the rogue disguises).
- Arrows and bullets more than 10 levels above you are no longer locked as ammo for your bow or gun.
## [0.1.5] - 2026-10-20
### Changed
- A herb, ore or leather your gathering trade brings in reads "reagent from your Herbalism" (or Mining, Skinning).
- A herb, ore or leather your gathering level has passed reads "below your current Herbalism level".
- With ItemTree, a kept item names why, such as "Herbalism (tracked)" or "your Cooking (via Alchemy)", instead of "ItemTree keep".
- Typing /jet or /jettison on its own opens the Jettison list; /jet version shows the version.
- A rare item that starts a quest names the quest instead of just "rare".
### Fixed
- Without ItemTree, a quest for one class counts only for that class.
- Toys, such as the new Adventurer's Tent, are locked rather than offered for sale.
- A quest that starts from an item, such as a Craftsman's Writ, locks the items it asks for only while you have that item or the quest.
- A kept stack names its profession instead of "your trade".
## [0.1.4] - 2026-10-17
### Changed
- Items a new Forever quest asks for are kept for it, for the classes that quest is for.
- Profession bags, quivers and the reagent bag are in the list; Jettison only drops from one of them when the loot fits in it, and Drop next only offers items from your main bags.
- Bag advice is clearer: a bag no better than yours says so, and a bigger reagent bag is an upgrade for your reagent bag slot.
- Naxxramas quests lock nothing until you have been inside Naxxramas.
### Fixed
- Jettison follows ItemTree's Always keep, Never keep and Off at once.
- Bandages for a profession you have, but not yet at their rank, stay locked.
- Without ItemTree, each quest counts for the same faction as with ItemTree.
- An item both your trade and a quest need says it is locked for your trade.
- Crafting that uses up the last of a reagent no longer counts as you dropping it.
- A sold item gone from the Buyback tab says so until your bags change.
## [0.1.3] - 2026-10-14
### Changed
- With ItemTree, only your best profession tool of each kind stays locked; a spare Skinning Knife or fishing pole can be sold.
- At a vendor, the Use and Open buttons now use the item instead of selling it.
- The other faction's quests no longer count as uses of your items, with or without ItemTree.
- With ItemTree, spare bags for your bank and alts stay locked with ItemTree's words, up to your bank's bag slots.
- Stat scrolls, elixirs and food judge your class by the same table as ItemTree: hunters want Strength, and Spirit suits every class.
## [0.1.2] - 2026-10-11
### Changed
- A buff on your use list now reads "Use: a buff (use it now)", with brackets instead of a comma.
- With ItemTree, an appearance you have not collected reads "Use: collect the appearance" instead of a buff.
- Without ItemTree, Jettison knows a few more quests and the items they ask for.
## [0.1.1] - 2026-10-11
Works best with ItemTree 0.1.9 or later: Jettison then follows ItemTree's Keep, Auction, gear,
bag and food answers, so the two addons agree. With an older ItemTree or none, it uses its own
item data.
### Added
- A Compact list: a narrow window of one line rows that hugs its rows. Tick Compact list in the
list's footer or the settings; the button at its right end brings the full list back.
- A Large interface setting: a bigger list window, buttons and loot cards.
- Take and Leave keys for the loot card (D takes, A leaves, by default, out of combat), shown
under the card and set in the settings.
- A Quiet loot list setting, on by default: the list stays away while a loot window needs no
decision.
- Blue Use rows for things to do now: clams, loot bags and lockboxes you can open, a scroll or
elixir whose buff is off, and an item that starts a quest you can take. Their Open or Use button
does it (not in combat).
- Buff food you keep turns into a blue Use row while you are not Well Fed.
- At a vendor, an item you just sold stays in its place marked "Sold", with a Buy back button.
- At a vendor, a locked item can be sold from its row with two clicks (Sell, then Sure?) and stays
locked.
- A Ledger button on the list's title bar shows or hides the ledger.
- Bags are compared with their own kind: quivers and ammo pouches only if you shoot, soul bags for
warlocks, reagent bags for your professions.
- The loot cards show stack counts on their icons, as your bags do.
- A setting, Turn off tooltips when ItemTree detected, on by default: ItemTree's Keep block
replaces Jettison's strip on bag tooltips.
- /jet demo have puts a pretend item in the list for testing; /jet demo off takes it away.
### Changed
- Food, drink, potions, bandages, elixirs and scrolls are judged by what they really do: whether
your class uses the effect, your level and skill, and whether you carry a better one. New Use
words say so: "bandage for your level", "potion for your class", "needs First Aid 50", "better
food in your bags".
- Food and drink whose buff your class uses (Smoked Sagefish for a caster) is kept until you carry
a stronger one; food that gives more kill experience is kept while you level.
- Kept food, drink, potions and bandages are locked one stack each; a second stack is offered to
drop: "29 / 20 for your food, this stack is spare".
- Classic quests that are in WoW Forever count when deciding what to keep, but only quests you can
still do, and class quests only for your class.
- A quest or your profession keeps only as many as it needs, and extra stacks say so ("Use: 9 / 3
for Westfall Stew"); where both need an item the counts add up.
- With ItemTree, a reagent your profession can still turn into gear or a consumable is kept up to
one stack, and a reagent your route needs only as many as the route says.
- Soulbound gear with a Use effect you are not yet level for is kept: "keep for level 36".
- Hunters: Potion of Beast Slaying and Strength buffs count as yours (Survival is a melee spec).
- Sell suggested's button reads "Sell items" and sells straight away; the sell list no longer opens
when there is nothing to sell, and always shows full rows beside a merchant.
- The padlock is a bigger, dark, red edged button with a centred lock, red when locked.
### Fixed
- With ItemTree, food, drink, potions and bandages follow ItemTree's verdict: Roasted Boar Meat
and Heavy Linen Bandage are no longer first to drop at level 15.
- Of two bandages, the weaker one always ranks to drop first, and a bigger healing potion no longer
makes a mana potion "better potion in your bags".
- Alcohol is ranked by its price, not called "food for your level".
- Lures and devices for your professions are kept while your skill can use them; camp items read
"Locked: camp item".
- Herbs, leather, ore and stone are your own goods when you gather them, and another trade's
reagent with no auction price is no longer first to drop.
- A reagent your profession uses is no longer called "not your trade".
- Out of use rare gear, and a spare bag no bigger than yours, are suggested to sell on their money.
- An item vendors sell everywhere is never valued at an auction price.
- The reagent bag is read, so a reagent in the loot fits its free slots.
- Loot that fits a profession bag, quiver or ammo pouch no longer asks you to drop something.
- A skinner sees when a cheap item is worth taking to clear a corpse for its skin.
- The loot card names a quest item's quest, says "Use: open it first" for a clam, and keeps its key
hint, dimmed, in combat.
- The vendor list opens when the only sellable item is one you unlocked, and the quest reward check
no longer asks for room when handing in frees a slot.
- The list goes under the dressing room while you try something on.
- Jettison and Jettison Data show Jettison's icon in the AddOn List.
## [0.1.0] - 2026-10-06
The first release of Jettison, for the WoW Forever client.
### What it does
- A ranked list of what to drop, least worth keeping first, opens beside the loot window when your bags are full.
- It offers a swap: confirm the drop the usual way, or drop another item from the list, and the loot is taken.
- At a vendor, a list of what to sell opens beside the vendor window, and Sell junk sells your greys.
- Sell suggested shows what else Jettison would sell and why; take anything off, then confirm once more.
- Amounts are what an item sells for at a vendor, or at auction when it is worth the trip.
- The Use line under each item says why it ranks where it does, in green when it is worth keeping for you.
- Click a padlock to lock or unlock an item, or set items to Never in the settings to leave them out.
- Tick Ignore use on a loot card, or right click a row's padlock, if Jettison thinks you use what you do not.
- Bag slots show drop ranks, on Bagnon, Baganator, AdiBags, ArkInventory, ElvUI and BetterBags bags too.
- Turning in a quest with full bags shows what to drop to fit the reward; so does a quest refused for full bags.
- Quest items name their quest, and say when it is complete.
- Search the list by name, at the loot and quest windows too.
- A ledger shows what you dropped since your last vendor against what you sold.
- A minimap button or /jet opens the list; right click the button for the settings.
- Works on its own, and reads ItemTree, Auctionator, Auctioneer and TSM when they are installed.
