i Racelock Connection - iRacelockConnection iRC

iRaceLockedConnection (iRC) is a World of Warcraft race-lock addon that verifies each player’s chosen race and ensures the challenge is played correctly according to the established rules.

iRacelockConnection

iRacelockConnection (iRC) is a WoW Classic guild companion for race-locked, Self-Found, and community challenge guilds. It gives players and officers a shared view of guild progression while keeping normal gameplay untouched until the Guild Master explicitly enables iRC for that specific guild.

Installing iRC alone does not activate guild tracking, verification, compatibility traffic, notifications, or enforced rules. This means you can keep the addon installed on characters in other guilds without unexpectedly changing chat language, groups, trades, mail, or Auction House behaviour.

Guild progression and race overview

The Connection Dashboard lets players view their guild in a clear, sortable interface.

  • Overview shows the guild’s race and class mix, member counts, average levels, Self-Found activity, and live addon participation.
  • Verification shows whether online members have a current iRC response, compatible RaceLocked/RaceLockedForkEU data, need attention, or are offline.
  • Champions compares characters of your own race by level and achievement points.
  • Leaderboard ranks characters by name, level, achievement points, guild, and data source.

For example, a Troll player can quickly see other Troll characters in the guild, compare their progression, and find suitable race-themed group members. iRC represents each character once, even when it receives data from both iRC and a compatible addon.

Achievements and challenge progress

iRC includes a classic-inspired achievement window with personal inspection and completion dates for iRC guild achievements.

  • Hardcore Achievements opens the HardcoreAchievements interface and uses its achievement-point data in shared views.
  • Guild Achievements track supported guild-only dungeon runs, bosses, and difficult quest progression.
  • Roleplay Achievements provide a dedicated space for roleplay-themed progression as the addon expands.

HardcoreAchievements is required because iRC reads its achievement-point data for guild views and leaderboards.

Optional guild rules

The Guild Master activates iRC from Connection & Rules, then chooses only the rules the guild has agreed to use. Every member can see the active rules, while only the Guild Master can change them.

Available rules include:

  • Native language chat — automatically selects your character’s racial language when typing.
  • Self-Found only — warns leveling characters that are not using WoW’s Self-Found mode.
  • Level 60 Guild Found — when Self-Found ends at level 60, restricts trades, mail, Auction House use, and groups to verified guild members.
  • Level 60 Self-Found exception — allows normal trading, grouping, mail, and Auction House use at level 60.
  • Same-race groups only — warns a mixed-race group and leaves the party or raid, with an optional level-60 exception.

This allows a guild to run strict race-lock or Self-Found rules without affecting players in unrelated guilds.

Guild verification and onboarding

When enabled, iRC shares lightweight live profiles between guild members. Officers can identify players who are online but have not sent a current addon response, while compatible RaceLocked and RaceLockedForkEU responses are clearly labelled instead of being presented as native iRC data.

The notification system coordinates eligible officer clients so one client handles reminders instead of several officers sending duplicates. Newly invited members can receive a clear welcome message if no supported addon response is detected, explaining that iRC needs to be installed, enabled, or reloaded.

RaceLocked and RaceLockedForkEU compatibility

iRC can read and exchange compatible guild statistics, Self-Found presence, and Guild Found verification data with RaceLocked and RaceLockedForkEU users.

Compatible data is always labelled with its real source. iRC does not overwrite the other addons’ saved data or alter their guild rosters.

Roleplay tools

Troll characters can enable Troll Talk in the Roleplay tab. It applies optional Troll-style wording changes to messages you send, such as selected phrase replacements, without editing messages received from other players. It is per-character and can be disabled at any time.
